I thought about trying to exchange my 64gb Plus for the 128gb today at the Georgetown Apple Store until I saw that Tim Cook was hanging out there this morning. I knew it was going to be a madhouse and didn't bother. The more I think about it, it just seems more trouble then it is worth for space that I may or may not use. Besides, I upgrade every year, so I can always get more space next year.

I have the 128GB 6 Plus and currently still have 100GB of free storage left. This year I again went with the 128GB 6S Plus. As long as I can afford the larger storage, I'll continue to get the most Apple has to offer. This year I'll be taking a lot more videos, so I know I'll be using a lot more storage than I did last year.

You don't feel as though it's a

Pretty much what I'm going to do, I can wait until next year

Do you upgrade every year?
yes, I upgrade every year. I'm not on any of those special plans, I just purchase and sell my old phones. I make a profit ever other year. This year sold iPhone 6 for $550 purchased 6s for around $790 after taxes. Next year I'll sell the 6s for about $500-550 and get my 2yr upgrade for around $300 leaving me with a 200-250$ profit. Pretty much I never spend more than $300 for a new iPhone each year.

I always say, when you are spending this much money on a device, really what is the difference at that point to just pay the 100 dollar difference and get the absolute best you can.

4K videos are about 350mb per minute. I'm not sure what people consider to be a "lot" of video, but if you do the math, that's still only a couple of hours on a 128gb empty device. The take home, for me, is you're going to want to export those videos someplace likely regardless of the size you have. Now, obviously, 128gb will give you more room to work with.

I went with 128 since it didn't cost me extra. But we all would have been just fine with 64.

Worth it for me... for the first time ever I can sync my entire iTunes library and have space left over. With all my music, photos and apps I have 40GB free.

I've used 75GB of my 128GB so I wouldn't consider less than 128GB now.

Having said that, though, 33GB of that space is my iCloud Photo Library that is stored entirely on the phone (even though I have optimise space turned on - presumably because I do have so much space)
I want the 128gb so I can turn optimised storage off! :)

Annoys me now if I come across a photo and have to wait for it to download!

So I caved and exchanged my 64gb Plus and got the 128gb. It was a very easy process. I reserved the 128 in the color that I wanted online and then went to the Apple Store and did the exchange. I was in and out in 10 minutes. However, the 64gb was unopened, so that might have speeded up the process.

Did you have to put any money down

For me I have over 35GB available and I got a 64GB phone so I believe the 64GB is the sweet spot for me. Don't feel like I have to delete a lot of things, but then again I only have one page of apps on my phone, so the bulk of that is from my music library, 1500+ in photos, and 95 videos.

I paid the difference, plus tax. Used my discover card on Apple Pay, so at least I will get the tax back!

I went to the Apple Store in Georgetown they told me I had to go thru t-Mobile to switch it out!! So I went to T-Mobile and the process is ohhh so crazy that I just said forget it

I would think that 95 videos would eat up all of that space but wow I guess I'm fine with 64 lol
