Mail doesn't quit for me (M1 mac mini, 8 GB, 256 GB), but Print and Export to PDF both bring up a progress box that says "Converting to print/export" that eventually disappears without printing/exporting.

So, I found an issue with my Spectrum email account on my Mac by turning off the other 2 one at a time. Everything was fine until I would turn on the Spectrum account. I deleted the account, and set it up again.

Everything seems fine. No idea what happened overnight. Malwarebytes found nothing from overnight.

Peace.

This is a pain is all I can say. It's related temporally to updating to 13.2 but maybe it's something else. I shut down and restarted, ran Cocktail, removed the plist files from the library and it's still happening.

That solved the problem for me also.

I have 5 email accounts, turned them all off and tested each one ..... found one that caused the crash. I deleted it, added it again and all is well.

Thanks!

and Peace to you too.

Yes, I am using Cox and this morning all 3 of my Macs quit Mail immediately.

I will try the delete and add fix.

When I deselect the Cox account in System Preferences/Internet accounts my Mail app open fine. Cox is working on a webmail problem now. I don't want to delete the account and re-add as I believe that deletes all my older mail.

I will wait a day or so and see if Cox fixes issue.

Interesting. I had a little stumble with my Spectrum account again this morning. However this time I toggled it on and off several times and it resolved. Spectrum had nothing to say when I called.

I‘m wondering if Hiding the email IP is an issue with some providers? Obviously not everyone has the issue.

My assumed Ventura 13.2 problem with Mail is fixed. Cox has repaired the servers and I can get Mail on all my Mac's.
Big relief.

Problem seems to have evaporated. I haven't rebooted, but everything reported now works fine in Mail.

I am having the Mail crashing problem as well and it seemed to have started once I upgraded to 13.2 as I never had the issue prior to the update. I have a both a Cox account and iCloud account and the Cox account seems to be the one that causes the crashing. If I turn off or delete the Cox account Mail opens back up just fine with only the iCloud account active. I've been able to re-add the Cox account and have Mail work for awhile, but it will crash after a few hours and I'm back to square one. After several unsuccessful attempts to re-add the account last night without crashing, I was able to do so today, but it eventually crashed so the issue persists. Hopefully this is just a bug that will be addressed in a future update.

My Mail was up and running for about a day and a half but tonight: immediate crash. this time it was a different cox.net email account. after switching the account off Mail opened as it should. I deleted the suspect email account and now I'm not able to add it back. UGH.

I have a Spectrum email account and since updating to Ventura 13.2 both mail and Microsoft Outlook crash immediately upon opening. I've had multiple Apple support calls, did a Ventura reinstall, and checked for malware, and deleted and reinstalled the accounts. Nothing works. Case has been upgraded to Apple engineering. I have to use Spectrum web mail until this is fixed.

My Cox problems are back with all my Macs. IOS seems OK. I called Cox and they admit to some server issues. I can see my mail fine on Cox Webmail but not using the Mail app - immediate crash.

Same thing here with my Spectrum ISP. It’s a really odd bug the way it seems to come and go. Spectrum says it’s on my end. I don’t know. I think it’s them or we would see hundreds of posts beyond Cox and Spectrum.

I think Apples “Hide your email IP and load remote images privately” plays a role with their ISP. However, turning it off did solve the issue this morning, but within a few hours it was back.

I have found turning off the Spectrum account, opening mail, force quitting it, relaunch Finder then turn the account on will bring it back for a while.

It’s just you never know how long it will last. One of the strangest bugs I’ve come across. 2017 27” iMac Core i5 40g RAM 1TB SSD.

it's back. 3rd time since upgrading (?) to 13.2. now it involves 2 Cox email addresses. this time the interval from fix to crashing again was about 12 hours.

Apple Mail using the Cox ISP on my M2 Mac Mini is crashing this morning. I am hoping the problem resolves and I am tired of experimental tweaks.

M1 MBA, Cox. Deleted problem email addresses in Mail again and added them back ... things are working for now.

If you delete your Cox email account and then add back don't you lose all your emails? Did you migrate them to another folder?
