I use my current apple tv with wi-fi with 32 gb storage. i see no reason to get the one with thread. i don’t game on it or use it for anything but actual tv.
Exactly. Since I can do RetroArch on my Xbox Series X now (or Series S), why would I game on the Apple TV at all?If you like to play their terrible games, sure.
Simple answer, no. But more TVs support HDR10+ than Dolby Vision due to licensing feesIs HDR10+ better than Dolby Vision ?
agreed!Amazing people just can't stop complaining about the lack of a single feature that people don't necessarily need and that it's $50 cheaper as a starting price?
Even with the *same* features it's $30 cheaper than the previous Apple TV 4K and you get double the storage...
No, but it is useful to some 4K tv owners that don’t support DV like Samsung sets. If you own a Panasonic OLED that support both you’ll likely stick with DV over HDR10+. Maybe if you have streaming where only HDR10 and HDR10+ is supported then you would use it, but that I haven’t utilized. Is HDR10+ better than Dolby Vision ?
It is for games reallyWhat do people even use the storage space for? I wish it gave me the option to save videos from my local library on my Apple TV. If you don't do games or anything of that nature, is there really any way to use the larger capacity?
ethernet doesn’t really product much heat. only weight difference would be from the chip and the physical port (minuscule)The cheaper model is also lighter. Probably getting rid of Ethernet/Thread also allowed them to reduce size of heatsink or power supply.
Actually that isn’t true. It’s the opposite. DV doesn’t really add any noticeable cost to consumer 4K TVs or why would Panasonic support both. Samsung was the principal backer of HDR10+.Simple answer, no. But more TVs support HDR10+ than Dolby Vision due to licensing fees
The ethernet model is 0.2 ounces heavier so yes it is a very minuscule difference.ethernet doesn’t really product much heat. only weight difference would be from the chip and the physical port (minuscule)
That iPad also comes with a screen and cameras, while this device doesn't.I like how a $129 device comes with an A15 Bionic chip while the new $449 iPad 10.9" comes with only the A14 Bionic 🤣
Probably because millions of others buy it, even if you don'tI have no interest in this product. I do not even know why it still exist.
