Nothing overtly amiss in the house: everything still operates as well as it did pre-update (which is pretty-well).

I've been bitten, before, when mixing OS Generations 🤷‍♂️

That being said, M4 MBA and M2 Max Studio are still on 15.7.5, and 13 Mini will remain on 18.x.y for the foreseeable future....

Does 15.7.5 require you to verify your ID/Age to login to your Apple ID like the latest MacOS 26 updates do?

If you mean Apple Account, I did not. Only a pop-up to allow the login and for a 6-digit security code.

How is Apple wanting people to verify ID and age on MacOS 26?

I installed 15.7.7 RC before today (same as today's "final" release) and for some reason couldn't boot into macOS on an Intel 7,1 2019 Mac Pro, but after a few reboots it went through and now no problem. I wonder why..

Same old shenanigans:

I am on the beta for Sequoia, and I leave auto updates disabled, so I don't see that. I just get the Sequoia updates, and of course, they do send the Safari 26 updates regardless. Sad to see that Apple is still using that bit of trickery to get the unwary to update to Tahoe.

Don't click on the "i". Click on the "Update Now" button instead. (right next to it on the left).
Then you will get Sequoia without any "shenanigans".

In other words:
Every button that says "UpDATE" gets you Sequoia. Every button that says "UpGRADE" gets you Tahoe.

I will take a look, I had not paid that close of attention to the use of "upgrade" or "update". Technically, Apple would be correct in its usage; I suppose the implementation is a bit skippy, though. Thanks for pointing out that subtle difference; I had missed it.

Fastest update yet. Required a restart but no install boot screen - straight to login.

EDIT: It needed to be restarted via the update page for it to "take".

Same here, also everything is super snappy unlike crappy Tahoe especially for Intel.

I can resize windows like butter, even 100 tabs in Chrome (I have enough RAM 😀). It used to crawl now all smooth.

The only issue I have is that when I turn on the power strip to power up the Studio every morning, it turns on without me pressing the Studio On/Off switch.

I have hunted around the Settings, but have not found what is causing this.

There is a setting System Settings -> Energy -> Power on automatically after a power failure.

Check this is set to OFF.

I never switch my Mini off at the wall (or in fact any of my computers).
