15'' MacBook Pros Shipping

Well, I'm glad to know I am not the only one waiting on updates for that flight that left at 3:48 PM. Make sure to post if you get any updates, I've been worried but at least others are in the same boat, or should I say on the same plane;). Hope we will hear something soon, and hopefully not about a crashed plane over the Pacific.
 
according to some person at fedex mine didn't actually leave Shanghai airport until 10 pm today (local time). This implies it has been sitting there for 37 hours, and would explain why we have no Anchorage scan. I wonder why according to the forums no such thing ever happened to 2.0 and 2.16 customers.
 
Fed ex told you that? Well, I guess my pipe dream that it would arrive Friday can be put to bed then. Looks like a long weekend. Oh well, at least it shipped, right?
 
You mean 10 am? How could it have left 5 hours from now? Regardless, the idea of it sitting there for that long without FedEx putting it on a plane is so stupid. It is supposed to be 2 day shipping, lets get moving now! I WANT MY MACBOOK PRO! I really wished it could have gotten here Friday, but that won't happen. Funny how quickly the 2.0s and 2.16s got here, even if they ordered in February! Anyone know how I can request for it to be held at a FedEx center?

yes, a woman at the international services number. She argued that the commitment day is Monday the 27th only. I wonder how the 2 day shipping I paid for became a 5 day shipping...?!?
 
2 day shipping means 2nd day AFTER it clears customs!

FWIW, I always select the FREE shipping and Apple always sends it overnight anyway.. so those who are paying for 2nd day are getting ripped. :rolleyes:
 
Has anybody experience with returning apple orders? How many bucks should I estimate for sending the unopened package back (apparently the returns center is in Ontario) when it gets here on Monday? Thanks for any info. Fedex site says around $60. Is there a cheaper way?

I have already decided that if they don't send me that wireless mouse for delaying my order, I am going to call them and get my $18 back. Otherwise, I see no need to fight for $18 if they sent me a $59 mouse free.

Yes there is. Refuse the shipment and Apple will eat the bill.
 
I still think that it is very odd that nothing has been updated. In my experience with fedex phone support, they often know as much as us in terms of the tracking. It is only when somthing gets "lost" that they begin a search that turns up detailed info. About a month ago, I had an shipment that got stuck for 4 days. They could only tell me the same info that my tracking showed. I would hold off till Friday before you rush to buy one and return this one. Although I can understand your reasoning. To make my situation worse, nobody will be home on Monday for me, so who knows when and how I will manage it.

FYI: just checked and it still has not left China ( 2 days now.)
 
Just found that funds have been put on hold in my bank account from apple. My mbp 1.83 stock still hasn't shipped yet. I'm expecting it to tomorrow. How long did it take to ship after your guy's funds were being held?

I too have been dealing with MacMall and was told my 1.83 mhz MBPro would be delayed until March 3rd. My hope is they will ship sooner because it was supposed to ship Feb. 21. My order also shows "backordered" with no real updates. Had to call the sales dept. to get the info on the March 3 ship date.
 
Any Fedex updates from those of you that have been in China since Feb. 22nd? My last scan is still from 9:37PM on Feb. 22nd for "picked up" in China.

Same here. It's been almost 2 days with no update. Although, I've had experiences with fedex where my package will actually be delivered before the online tracking site s even updated once. Here's hoping it's on it's way to my local fedex hub, waiting for delivery in the morning. Where the hell is my MacBook.:confused:
 
here is my info, and I wont be at work to recieve mine , and fedex said I can not intercept the shippment at the sort facility ahead of time....SUX, have to wait till Monday no matter what happens!!!

Uh, it's due to arrive tomorrow, Friday. Even if you miss the delivery, you can pick it up AFTER an attempted delivery. I've done that twice in the past two months (both for notebook computers shipped from China. Sadly, both were Compaqs.)

(Mine left Indianapolis half an hour after yours, and arrived in Portland at 5:44 local time. Yours is certainly in New York by now. And mine is also scheduled to be delivered 2/24 at 10:30 AM. I won't be home at the time, so I'll go to my local FedEx distribution center and pick it up at lunch.)

Yeah problem is it is shipping to my work, where thay accept the packages even if I'm not there and hold it in the office, so since I called in sick to register my daughter (eMac G4 1.42GHZ 768Ram) for kindergarten, I caan't show my face to get it.....
 
My 1.83 stock finally shipped via fedex standard. It left shanghai a while ago. My questions is, those of you who optioned for standard delivery, did it really take about 5 days for it to arrive?

I did the standard FREE delivery but they still shipped priority overnight.
 
FedEx Shipments

Just off the phone w/ a fedex rep aperantly the plane was delayed due to inclimate weather the plane left shanghi 4 hours ago and should reach ankerage within about 8 hours.:D :D :D :D

Also just off the phone- they claim it left alaska on the 23rd. Still on track for Monday. FYI I was given the same general info- I can't pick up unless one attempt made, need to sign in person, blah blah....

They could not explain why the tracking is not getting updated.
 
Arrival

My MacBook Pro arrived this morning, talked with the fedex driver he says that this package was shipped fedex express. So for those of you who have one coming in the next few days it should arrive on or before 10:30am which is what mine was suppose to do, it arrived at 9:45. I nearly jumped out of my shoes.

You can notice the speed right off the bat. As for battery life I am calibrating the battery then will run some tests to see for my self. DVD playback and average use, etc... Well Its been a wait but well worth it.:) :cool:

Fedex express my a$$...mine still has not left Alaska...it shipped on the 22nd...I will be very surprised if it makes the crawl for Monday morning.
