15'' MacBook Pros Shipping

The available credit on my credit card has not been reduced, so I really can't complain too much. I placed my order on 2/3; I don't know if the info relayed here about 10K units arriving at MacMall earlier this week would have included my machine or not, or if that info was accurate.

Most of their MBP RAM "ships same day," but I cannot figure out which stick they are supposed to install. All of them are less than the $229 they are charging me for it.

I also ordered a new iPod at the same time. That shipped 2/3, and MacMall included the "free" Wacom tablet with that order. I guess I'll need to return that item since I don't want to pay for it, and I don't have the Apple serial # info required to fulfill the rebate. I'm supposed to have that rebate postmarked by today!

Last week at this time, I expected the computer to arrive in the middle of next month at the earliest. So I guess i should be patient.

EDIT: FWIW, I phoned MacMall about the Wacom tablet, and they said that my machine should ship on 3/3. I think.

I do remember reading in another post that people had tracking problems, and then it just arrived at their door 2-3 days after. I am still holding out some hope for a Friday delivery. I also read that Apple will not let these be picked up at fed ex- so that looks like it rules out Sat. Just another Manic Monday to quote Prince....

Still waiting for that thing to arrive in Anchorage? Since mine left Shanghai 40 hours ago, I'm beginning to picture a plane crash myself...islands that far north must be chilly compared to the castaway setting...

Some times when packages go through the sort facilities they fail to get scanned until the next facility it happens to approx every 1 of 500 boxes.
so i am Told!

Or rather, it's there. I just checked my Fed-Ex shipping and my computer has been delivered to my house a full day ahead of schedule. (Or weeks ahead, or a week late, depending on how you look at it. I first had a 15th ship-date, then a 28th with 7th of March delivery, then it shipped and said it would be delivered tomorrow.)

The only bad part is that I am in Ann Arbor, Michigan at school and I won't get my computer until I go home for Spring Break on Saturday! I can't wait!


I ordered a BTO 1.83 (now 2.0) on the 17th. Any people who ordered on the 10th (not the 1.63s which I know are delayed) not get theirs or not have theirs shipped yet? Just wondering how out-of-order the shipping is.

Finally got my Tracking numbers. I ordered on Jan 19th and upped the ram to 1GB (ordered 1.67 got 1.83) So the 1.67's are DEFINATELY shipping so I don't know what to say about your CTO 1.83 now 2.0...

I ordered the 19th as well. Mine still hasn't shipped. I just ordered a stock mbp with regular free shipping.

Forgot to mention that I opted for standard shipping (Told by an apple rep years ago that when the items are coming from over seas it all ships the same way) I think it still holds true from what I have been hearing on the boards here

No idea whether it has shipped. But it looks from your posted times like we're all in the same boat/plane. See the postings by "ncoffey" and myself above. I'm counting hours. Now 37. Normally our packages would have gone through Anchorage and arrived in the lower states long time ago.

Agreed. I see you are also in MA- I am outside of Worcester.

Kep us posted.. I will als well. Mine shows still stuck in China, but Fedex has is to be delivered Feb 27

Is yours a 1.83 GHz as well? I wonder whether they're actually SHIPping those because they need the airplanes for 2.0 and 2.16 GHz Macbooks...;-)

Yeah, mine is a 1.83...things just can't get easier for us folk, eh? Just an update, mine still shows only the scan in China. I think that I remember (it is beginning to blur) another thread saying that they had no updates till it was at his door- maybe this is the case. If so, what is the point of a tracking #?
 
My 1.83 mbp has not even shipped yet :(. Ordered mine the morning of Jan 19th, just like iamasoundguy( whos is shipping).
