I've just seen that I could sell my 15 Pro (256) for UK £510.

The 17 Pro is 1,099, 256 is now standard, and the base 17 is £799

=> upgrade cost for the 17 Pro is £589
& £289 for the base 17

Both with new batteries.

Tempted despite not being unhappy with my 15 Pro ;)

My 3 year old - will have to last me a 4th year - iPhone 14 Pro Max has 85%.

BTW, NEVER EVER run iOS public betas on any iPhone you plan to keep longer than a year. Public betas kill battery health long term.
Really? Interesting

I went into the Keynote slightly pessimistic on upgrading but now I think I'm pulling the trigger. I went 15 Pro Max because of the battery life, but I wish I had the smaller form factor - sometimes it's just too big and bulky for me. If I can move to the smaller size while (according to Apple's specs) actually gaining battery life, that's about as ideal of a situation as possible for me.

The real question now is...what colour? I wish black was an option this year as I think it's what I'd lean toward by default. I'm intrigued by the orange but not sure if that interest would last 2+ years.

I’ll be waiting one more year for the iPhone 18 Pro…

While the 15 Pro hasn’t been my favorite iPhone as far was efficiency goes. It’s good enough still and even at 89% battery health, I get a full days use out of it.

By next year it will be ready for the upgrade deals.

Edit: Also NO black color…? WTH is Apple thinking? Hopefully next year.

I'm waiting until next year, hopefully the folding iPhone is released. My 15PM is at 89% battery, I have AC+ too, so I'm good another year.
