Virtually all configurations of the 15-inch MacBook Pro have a Nov 13 - Nov 15 delivery date.

Last month, Apple told us the 16-inch MacBook Pro would launch in mid-November, based on the lead times for the 4TB product.

A November launch is almost 100% certain at this point.

Shows same day delivery for the 2 pre-configured models (15" 256 and 15" 512) at 16 stores here in Northern California.

A 1TB BTO model showed Nov 19 at same stores

Not sure what any of this proves.

I dont understand the connection between delivery times of the old model, and the release of the new one. Can someone fill me in?

When Apple preps for the launch of a new MacBook, existing lines run at reduced capacity. The MacBook family is manufactured by Quanta in Shanghai. We're seeing delays across the board for most configurations. The 15-inch MacBook Pro is a mature product and should not be experiencing much, if any delays for shipping.

I see tomorrow as an option for both standard configurations. It only slips to 13th-15th for BTOs. The 4TB SSD takes until Nov 29th, that's fun, considering you're paying $800 for that 2nd 2TBs....

Curious where did Apple state that the 16-inch MBP would launch in mid-November??

This happened last month too. The 1TB configuration showed long pickup/ship times and someone made a post exactly like this and here we are a month later with no release. So i think you may be looking a little too deep into this when nothing's really there to indicate an imminent release. I'd love to be wrong though as i too am eagerly awaiting this release.

I remember this happening with the iPods as well before the launch of a new model. At this point, I think it will either come with the Mac Pro, or will come in 2020.

Can confirm in Apple China shop, any customized configuration will delay shipment to Nov 15 at least. Will see next week.

At this point, as long as Mac Pro doesn't come out, I still have hope for a 16 inch.

Tried specing up a machine on apple.com/cn and all the 15" configs are 1-3 working days apart from the 4tb option which takes it to '2-3 weeks'.

I show 4 TB shipping in December, guess a December launch now?

I have checked Best Buy website and only there is only one 15" MacBook Pro in stock for the my entire state. Very interesting.

There is no reason to believe the 15" is going anywhere yet. The 16" is going to come in at the high end, and only the high end, for the first several months.
highly doubt it. ESPECIALLY if its a soft release with no event for it. I see them dropping the 15" if the only update is slightly larger screen. Still don't see a new keyboard in these things as of yet. A major release sure but as of now the 2019 keyboards that where updated in may will be in this new machine IF its launched this year.

It is a common pattern with Apple that production of the old model is frozen once a replacement model is imminent. Apple usually does not maintain much stock.

But then again, when this happens there is usually a comparable delay across all the markets — I have checked multiple apple online stores and I don't see anything out of ordinary to be honest.

The much anticipated MacBook Pro 16'' WILL BE ANNOUNCED TODAY!! I have inside source and its finally happening with release immediately. Ive been holding off for a while and I'm ready to finally upgrade! Happy Apple day everyone!

What is your source ? Do you have any website you can quote as reference ?
