I don't know whether to believe this or not.
However, the Mac Pro is probably going to be announced today so there is a good chance so will the 16" MBP.
I'm in Switzerland - BTO times at 20-22 Nov, and into Dec for 4TB option. Maybe this is normal, no idea
I think it has been like this for ages, it takes a while to ship BTO models since we are not in the EU...

I love the excitement of this community about the possible pending release of the new MacBook Pro. Maybe later today when the Apple Product Team has made their announcement at the FCPX Creative Summit, scheduled between 1pm and 6pm PST (https://www.fcpxcreativesummit.com/program/). Although if it is a hardware related announcement, I would expect it to be about the availability or expected release date of the new Mac Pro.

So Apple went to the trouble of updating the 15" model a few months ago, and now they're going to announce the 16" model and immediately remove the 15" model? I don't think so...
I don’t follow your logic here. Apple has updated the 15” in may since new CPUs with improved performance were available. Now new GPUs with improved performance are available. Why wouldn’t they want to upgrade their machines with new hardware? And if they have a new chassis that might sell well, why wouldn’t they want to introduce that before the holiday season, where so many people buy new computers? Upgrading the high-end MBP line now makes perfect sense. Don’t forget that Apples traditional release schedule for the MBP used to be twice per year before the CPU/GPU development stagnation slowed it down.

I'm saying they aren't going to remove the 15" that some people have suggested, even if the 16" comes out now.

This post is confusing! if there is a 16" they will still have a 15 for a while! No reason to run out, if anything, they are running out due to uncertainty! I honestly do not think I have seen so much speculation of any product lol..! Soon would be nice, but really wonder, my bet is spring, earliest...
Why are you so sure about that? It’s likely that the 16” is the redesign of the 15” model. It could at least replace the higher-end 15”.

Last year when Apple announced the new MacBook Air, they quietly updated the MacBook Pro for Vega graphics. The order date for the Vega equipped laptops was November 14th. Remember? So as far as the availability of the 16-inch MacBook Pro is concerned, anything's possible...
Because every couple hundred dollars is another product.
It is well understood that the 16" is going to come in at the high end and start around $2,999.
The 15" MacBook Pro starts at $2,399.
After the 16" has had several months to claim all of the high end sales that it can, you'll see lower tier/spec models introduced that do away with the 15". But that is not all happening on the same day. Not a chance.
Says who? We don't even know whether the 16" is a thing — and people are already claiming intimate knowledge of the pricing?
By the way, I agree that if the 16" is coming, it is probably going to replace the higher-end 15" MBP ($2,799.00) version. Or they might indeed introduce the 16" as the replacement for the 15"+Vega version and instead update the 15" with Navi.
I am sure we will know by the end of the month 🙂

nobody knows the mythical 16 will be higher priced. This is all speculation. Dont bank on any of it actually happening.
Looks like this is not happening today or this year. There would have been some leaks by now. Oh well, some time in 2020 it is. Bummer.
Yeah, and nobody 'knew' the iPhone 11 with its triple camera system existed either, until Apple announced it.

This seems to be the standard behavior here. If someone doesn't like something, they'll just say, "Well we don't even know that the product is real."

There have been plenty of leaks. You just weren't paying attention.
You do know Apple has a Mac Pro they've said is coming before the end of this year, right? It isn't too late for anything.

Oh...and the $2,999 pricetag? Nobody pulled that out of their arse. That was the speculated price by analysts that came out months ago.
