I really like it. I will wait for reviews but this very well could be my next upgrade.

Soon.

I'm impressed by the price too. Lower than what I expected (I was expecting closer to $3,000). The physical escape key makes a big difference for me.

I'm pleasantly surprised. Almost certainly won't buy one but this is good news for the future of the 13"/14" range too.

Nice to see navi, base config price same as the current 15"

The price-to-performance has actually improved significantly. The higher-end model is now now 1TB SSD and 5500M — so it is around $700 cheaper then the previous 15" config.

I want one, let's give Apple a bit of credit here, they've clearly listened. We're never going to see USB Type A or SD Cards again but pretty much everything else they've listened and they don't appear to have taken the opportunity to screw us over pricing. I wonder what the thermal improvements are going to be?

I can live with switching over to USB C given the other improvements. I hope that they have beefed up the ports as there were complaints of loosening ports over time. I do feel that Apple really listened to the complaints here.

I love it that starts at 512GB. I own various external SSDs so no point for me beyond 512GB on the internal disk... Especially for virtual machines.

Regarding the GPU I might upgrade mine to the 5500M during my config

My config: 6-core, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB storage, 4 GB 5300 GPU. Pricing is not bad. I am still waiting for a few months for reviews. But I see the thread of those ordering today.

New 16” will hopefully have less bezels and be same size case as the old 15” model!
They made the biggest iPad Pro Model witch is 12.9" too big with that aspect ratio.

The 16" MacBook Pro Inch still TOO CLOSE to iPad size not that big compared to iPad Pro or even 10.5".

iMac 27" (311 Square inch) is only 3.8 TImes bigger than iPad Pro 12.9" (80 square inch)
Macbook Pro 16" is only 1.43 times bigger than iPad Pro 12.9"
iPad Pro is eventually 5 to 6 times bigger than iPhone 11 Pro Max.
