Congrats but please do us a favor. Really (and I mean really) put it through its paces before reviewing. So many new MBP owners can't seem to suppress their zeal long enough to give nothing more than glowing, flowery first impressions. :)

Congrats!

After you take your time enjoying and experiencing your brand new rig,
Please lord take some GPU benchmarks if you could.

Also I'm curious if you are planning on running Bootcamp or planning on any gaming with it?

Thanks in advance!

It's the 2.3 GHz version so it has a discrete gpu the 750m

The specs on the box, ready to open and review.

Whoa... Captain Buzzkill on the deck. :p

Starting off with GeekBench 3.

2.3 Ghz Haswell rMBP =>

Single-Core = 3077
Multi-Core = 11566

2.3 Ghz Ivy Bridge rMBP

Single-Core = 2824
Multi-Core = 10707

Haswell is (1 - 2824/3077) * 100 => 8.22 % faster single core
and
Haswell (1 - 10707/11566) * 100 => 7.43 % faster multi-core

So basically your new shiny 2.3 Ghz Haswell rMBP is less than 9% faster cpu wise than the 1+ year old 2.3 Ghz Ivy Bridge base rMBP.

When I was setting up the development environment. Setting up included installing programs using the package manager home brew.

I didn't notice a difference in wait time (this is subjective) from my ivy bridge rMBP.

You might notice it if your not using a rMBP or using the previous 13 inch one.

Does it run Youtubes ok? :p

----------

Whilst you are in the middle of setting up...what are your initial impressions?
