17" is just right for me. I love the fact that it can do 1080p video. 19" or larger is way too big.

maybe some day i'll be able to afford that big bad 17" :( until then, living in the abject poverty i do, i'll just have to scrape by w/ the 15"

Lol nice speakers...

Those small viewing spaces must be rough.

Maybe one day you'll be on my level :)

 Not to mention my 17" has dual SSD optibay and is the highest processor.

aye, i had nicer computer speakers but times were tough and i ate them :( they're budgety $200 audioengine 2s, but they have a lovely quite lovely sound imo... exactly what is noteworthy about hooking up your mbp to an hdtv again?

No way, the 17 is too big.

Or

No way the 17 is too big.

?

Im pretty sure by method of deduction that he was meaning that there is no way it is too big. Otherwise, whose question is he answering?

The question isn't "would you get a 17" MBP?" in the poll. The question is "is the 17" MBP too big?"

So him saying "No way, the 17 is too big" doesn't really fit anywhere technically.

Unless maybe he is responding to the greater whole somehow.

Perhaps he might have been too lazy to add a comma as well as is customary to have a simple run on phrase response.

In a way it could go either way, but if I had to hedge my bets, I would place them on the fact he was saying that they are definitely not too big. (As would be the correct choice anyway)

Yes I can see that option now: " No way, it's too big" , as being just exclamatory to a larger audience. I didn't see that before, so I commented, perhaps incorrectly.

I should have been initially been more precise. Maybe something like: "It's too big not".

this is assuming anyone gives a flying fajita. :D

It's more based on personal preference. For me, I would love to have a 17' MBP. I don't do any professional work(video/photo editing) but I do love the extra real-estate. I helped my mom carry her 17' MBP around during our vacation and it was fine.

All personal preference.

So you finally got the 17, then? They're great.

And I completely agree about 11" + 17", it's the perfect combination!

Hey there, yes, finally made up my mind. If was a hard decision between the 11 and 17" or using one one laptop, the 13" MacBook Air and Thunderbolt Display.

But, I don't like working from a desk or set place for long hours and the 27" display isn't so portable so I opted for the 17" MBP.

Now I can use a reasonably large screen anywhere. Beforehand I was staring at a 13 or 11" screen for long hours everyday. It's refreshing to have the 17", the screen seems huge and I get more work done faster, two windows fit side by side perfectly, less scrolling, love it! A 17" MacBook Air would be incredible, maybe someday.

The 11" is no slouch, more productive for me than my iPad and great for use in plane, car, on couch etc. It complements the 17" well and having the 11" means I never have to lug a large laptop around.
