It's not much faster than the current 5S :/

If the 6 Plus is using exactly the same A8 and GPU, then it actually going to be slower than the 5S.

It looks like the just shrunk the manufacturing process, added 100Mhz and called it an A8. Correct me if I am wrong but the A7 is listed as a 1.3Ghz Cyclone and the A8 as an 1.4Ghz Cyclone.
Also these chips are still dual core right not quad?
I was on the fence about getting the 6, but after seeing this which is a 100% legit benchmark, i don't think I'll bother now and actually wait for the 6S and enjoy my 5S for another year.

Yeah they still dual, I reckon Apple will change to Quad in the A9
I wouldn't rely on this data, at best they're liking guesstimating. The damn phone isn't even out yet. Calm down and wait for a legit review.

The major upgrade on the 6 is the screen, the image quality is mind blowing, and the battery life.
The processor uses half the power of the old one so when doing heavy tasks you will get more than 25% more battery life. For example on the 5S some of the older navigation apps eat 1% battery every 50 seconds. On the 6, you'd see the phone last almost 80 seconds per 1% battery.
The 6 is the phone for everyone that complained that they only got 4 hours of heavy use out of their phone, or for everyone that complained that it had a screen that was too small.
wow, the 5c is slower then the 5?
Curious about the 6 Plus...
So... The 5s is slow? I mean... Hard to get much faster.
Different benchmarks will obviously have different results. Geek Bench showed the 25% increase.
No the 5S is quick it gave the Snapdragon 800 a run for it money last year, beating it on a few things aswell, with the A8 they haven't really progressed like they did coming from the A6 to the A7, basically it seems they tweaked the A7 just enough for the bigger 4.7" screen and shrunk the die for better battery life.
So....you didn't watch the keynote at all then right?
New ISP, double the transistors, new GPU, etc.
That's not "tweaking", thats a whole new chip architecture.
5S is 20th on the list of phone performance overall. 6 is 17th, thats bad for a new phone not even released yet.
My concern is this phone will be fine for iOS 8., but if they want to add any new features which require even a hint of better performance, the 6 will suffer for it. I am afraid it might be the iPad 3 of the iPhones which had a worse performance than ipad 2 due to retina
