The App store took away the "Popularity/Downloads" thing, and added what size the app was. They also added 5 gray stars for applications that haven't been reviewed.

In other words, they gave you more bars to shut you up with the same crappy signal strength.

Gee, thanks Apple.

I don't understand what those numbers mean, but what I do know is that before this update, I had no reception at all on the bottom floor of my house - now I get 2 bars and Edge.

In other words, he's saying that reception isn't better at all. It's just that the bars are more accurate (as in just the graphical representation). Whilst this doesn't do much for people who get even one bar (they'd get the same speed still), it does help for No Service people where it appears that they actually have reception...but the firmware stops them from doing anything.

how would i do that???

No need anyway...now that the backups are faster.

MobileMe Delete/Move bug fixed

I posted in MobileMe forum as well, but the bug where if you deleted or moved an email on the iPhone, and went to MobileMe web, the deleted or moved item was still in the inbox as well as the deleted or other folder is now fixed. When you delete or move an email on the iPhone, the email no longer appears in the Inbox on the MobileMe web version.

EDIT: I take that back. It worked for me once, but that was it.

WOW!

Are you serious?

That is a fix I did NOT expect from the iPhone update.

Thanks for reporting that!!

they dont capitalize lol anymore....they dont change f*ck/f*cking/ to duck and ducking

Yeah this feature has been broke since 2.0.1. You have to teach the word by hitting X on the word it predicts 3 times. It then remembers the word you were actually typing.

All that proves is that you have more pretty bars to look at. The numbers mean how strong your signal really is in decibels.

I reset it's learned dictionary probably at 2.0.0 and it still has yet to relearn things I type all the time. I even went into to notepad and typed it three times in a row and it didn't remember it. have to try that again and see if actually learns now.

I found another hidden gem:
in the ipod function, when looking at a list of 'songs' the "album title and artist name" is listed below the song name.
they added this feature in appletv a few months back, glad they did it to the iphone as well.

Bluetooth headset now works with voicemail

Two undocumented things I have found are:

1) My Plantronics bluetooth headset now work with voicemail...yea!

2) Upgrading removed all my custom ringtones...need to put them all back and assign them...boo!

I wouldn't exactly call this a feature. More like annoying as hello.

Every time I click on "Updates" in the App Store, before anything actually happens, I am prompted for my password. Suxor.

r the events on your iPhone calendar now in the colour u put it with on your computer or r they still all blueish?

probably because of that idiot that bought "I am Rich" because it didn't ask him to confirm.
