Profiles? I haven't seen any mention of this, but my iPhone is showing up something new in the 'General' settings tab. At least I think it's new.
Also, iPhone wont mount in iPhoto anymore. So that might be broken.

That was there for at least 2.0 final, I believe. Dunno what the purpose of showing it is for, though...maybe you can show off to your friends that you're a developer

Mine launches iPhoto fine, when there are un-downloaded photos. I dont't have that Profiles option under General in Settings.
Something iffy about my download/sync then. I have that option and no mountage in iPhoto.
Album Title?!?!? Why not Artist!?!?!? Browsing music in the iPod app on the iPhone is about the most useless thing I've ever experienced. This is one of my bigger gripes with the iPhone.
I've got tons of albums where I don't have EVERY song memorized. And even then, I don't have the Album titles memorized. So I'm looking at a song called "Atmosphere (Remix)". Who the he## is the artist? I have no idea and Apple isn't helping.
I can only hear music out of one of my speakers. Does 2.1 fix that?
Every time someone sends me a MMS it sends me to some website to look at it. Does 2.1 fix that?

I don't have it in 2.0.2
I have had every firm ware version on this phone and don't recall ever seeing something about profiles.
I just double checked my 2.0.2 and it is not there.
So either you don't actually have an iphone, or you're just too lazy to look yourself and see that the artist IS included.
Not sure what the "Beta" profile you have is all about, but the Profiles feature is a function of the Enterprise Administration pack. Network admins can create "Profiles" that contain forced/locked settings, such as VPN connection entries, WiFi settings, mail server settings, etc.
AIM.app now has the correction bubbles above the words so we don't accidentally close them while trying to type on the top row of keys.
MobileChat is now messed up because they "fixed" it in 2.0 by custom moving the bubble and now it appears halfway up the screen...hehe.

That's weird. Just to clarify (though I kind of hinted it in my post), you both are paying developers, using the iPhone for development, and have dragged the mobileprovision file from the Program Portal into Xcode?
I hope he means what I think he means.

On my 2.0.2 iPhone:
1) Turn ringer volume to full blast.
2) Go in to iPod and listen to music without head phones.
3) Turn iPod to half volume.
4) Exit iPod and go to settings.
5) Ringer volume now set to half.
The phone should not be this way and it sounds like it is fixed.
Guess I will find out for sure tonight when I can upgrade mine.
Nope, I'm not. It wasn't clear in the original post and I thought you were kidding around.

I do have an iPhone and like most men I don't RTFM. So as an IT Geek, I'm embarassed to ask....is there a setting somewhere I haven't located and need to set? Phone is syncing now...will check it when complete.
Edit: I just looked and found nothing under Settings -> iPod that would add the Artist.
If what you are referring to is the actual Artist button, then stop being a troll. When viewing a list of songs by multiple artists, I want to see Artist names. If you have a solution for that, please share because I don't see it.
Two new undocumented "features" that I've noticed in the first few minutes with 2.1:
- New podcasts and videos have always had blue bubbles next to them to indicate that they are new, but with 2.1, if you have "half-played" media, it will include a half filled in blue bubble.
- Videos now fade out if you press the home button. Beofre, they would cut out abruptly.
i just tried this on the 2.1 Firmware and can say that the ipod volume is totally independent from the ringer volume in this version.
But i don't know if i am missing something, was it not always independent?
Artist & Album are descriptors under songs in the songs menu. Just go to the iPod and look at your songs
