Any news if it fixes that bug in the Maps application where phones set to "UK English" had all distances displayed in km, rather than miles?

Seconded - an update just for those two fixes? Fair enough if it dramatically improves the bugginess of Safari, but if otherwise, why?

Hopefully the code/non-announced info to anything added should surface soon.

Safari improvements are always great. I'm willing to bet that the baseband update was a pretty strong motivating factor for Apple to release this as well. They surely want to do something to combat yellowsn0w.

A fix for Safari and a fix for mail...that's it?

Well, it's only a .1 release. Heck, bug fixes is great! Who wants a faulty iPhone..no one. I'll take that over new features and more problems anyday.

No need to worry, but have jailbreaking, that's makes up for Apple not giving us what we want.

I am wondering the same thing. I don't want to update right away if it does. I just did the emoji thing two days ago.

Updating now... Will check if emoji is still present once it's done. Shouldn't take too long now.

Because the Safari engine is used by nearly everything. Those UILabels use webkit in the background to draw text. Etc.. So on the iPhone fixing Safari fixes a LOT.

Releasing just a bug fix release makes me wonder if the next big iPhone update will be 3.0 and not 2.3. Especially since there has been no news of developers getting 2.3 seeds.

I wonder if this has anything to do with iLife 09? Didn't that have some new slideshows for syncing?

Volume Buttons on Apple In-Ear Headphones work?

If anyone has updated and has the new apple in-ear headphones can they see if the software was updated to let the volume buttons work?

Thanks,
Danny

Just got my in-ear headphones today, I'd be appreciative if someone could test as well. Not that I'm expecting it.

Anyone tried Netshare, yet?
