Can we use this ram???? IN current macbooks???
Links for 4G for 65 bucks below
Well, it certainly looks like it is the spec that the MacBook requires.
DDR2-667 PC2-5300 SO-DIMM is what you need, and that is what that claims to be. And that is one killer price.
Seems like a great price........might give it a try
Just ordered....will let you guys know more when i get it
By the looks of it, it looks like it is only 1 stick too?
Its one 2G stick which is better the 2X1 for the price!!!!
Wow, RAM has become so incredibly cheap... A year ago, I would've paid 400+ for 2GB.
it's on back-order and evidently won't ship until around thanksgiving. Still a good deal tho.
I ordered a MBP with 2gigs of Ram, it wont be here till next week. Can I use this in my MBP as well?
i have the same mbp and i'm ordering it for that model
I found out it a limited special, will ship in less then a week a great deal
Yes you can
does the MBP with 2gigs that I ordered come with one stick 2gig or is it 2 1gig sticks?
I want to place my order, but dont know if i need 2 sticks or one to make it 4gigs in my new MBP.
Sorry for the newbie questions, this is my first Mac and u guys have been awesome so far.
I think I found my answer in another thread, It seems like it comes with two 1 gig sticks. So I need to get two of these 2gig sticks.
$80 is not bad at all....how come apple charges...$700...ouch
It comes with 2X1 G sticks
Apple needs the money
if anybody installed this in their mbp, do tell if it's working good.
this looks like the exact same stuff just sold at newegg. The reviews seem mostly positive. Looks like one guy got bad ram, but the rest gave it 5/5 stars. One of them had an imac..so it looks like it works fine.
Ordered three. Great price!
Sonofabitch, I paid double only days ago!
LOL and you sold mine......great price
Wow RAM is getting cheaper by the day. I remember in 2005 I bought 1GB PC2700 for my iBook and it cost me I think like $130
This is a great deal.....I already ordered
And any Intel Mac (other than the Mac Pro) as well.
79 bucks for 4G cant beat that
PC 5300 v. PC2 5300
What is the difference between PC5300 and PC2 5300? There must be something.
If I'm buying a MBP for close to $3,000, I'm buying my additioanl RAM from a reputable dealer. I understand not buying it from Apple at $700, but if I can buy it from Newegg or OWC for $58 per 2GB stick, I'm not going to expose myself to any additional risk for the POSSIBILITY of saving a total of $40...
And again, there must be some difference between PC RAM and PC2 RAM. The $39 ones at FRY'S.COM are PC while the ones offered for MBP's at OWC and Newegg are PC2. I wonder what the difference is?
The two 1gig sticks that come with the laptop, are those easy to sell at all? Im just going to have them sitting around, I wonder if I can get someone to buy them : )
