Well, it certainly looks like it is the spec that the MacBook requires.

DDR2-667 PC2-5300 SO-DIMM is what you need, and that is what that claims to be. And that is one killer price.

Wow, RAM has become so incredibly cheap... A year ago, I would've paid 400+€ for 2GB.

I think I found my answer in another thread, It seems like it comes with two 1 gig sticks. So I need to get two of these 2gig sticks.

$80 is not bad at all....how come apple charges...$700...ouch

    PC 5300 v. PC2 5300

What is the difference between PC5300 and PC2 5300? There must be something.

If I'm buying a MBP for close to $3,000, I'm buying my additioanl RAM from a reputable dealer. I understand not buying it from Apple at $700, but if I can buy it from Newegg or OWC for $58 per 2GB stick, I'm not going to expose myself to any additional risk for the POSSIBILITY of saving a total of $40...

And again, there must be some difference between PC RAM and PC2 RAM. The $39 ones at FRY'S.COM are PC while the ones offered for MBP's at OWC and Newegg are PC2. I wonder what the difference is?
