The two 1gig sticks that come with the laptop, are those easy to sell at all? Im just going to have them sitting around, I wonder if I can get someone to buy them : )

save them if you ever going to sell your lappy!!!

What is the difference between PC5300 and PC2 5300? There must be something.

If I'm buying a MBP for close to $3,000, I'm buying my additioanl RAM from a reputable dealer. I understand not buying it from Apple at $700, but if I can buy it from Newegg or OWC for $58 per 2GB stick, I'm not going to expose myself to any additional risk for the POSSIBILITY of saving a total of $40...

And again, there must be some difference between PC RAM and PC2 RAM. The $39 ones at FRY'S.COM are PC while the ones offered for MBP's at OWC and Newegg are PC2. I wonder what the difference is?

I called and they told me it will work fine,,,,,,,call yourself....they will be out of stock by then.....

Wow thats sweet ima order some now so i can have my mac running kick ass when i get it =D

Crucial is Overrated

I'm not saying it can't be overpriced - but I've had 0 problems with any Crucial/Micron chips I've bought/used/installed for myself or for other people - and I used to be a computer technician. If I hadn't seen so many situations caused by faulty, crappy, generic RAM, I'd be more willing to bite -- and I'm not saying this stuff is crap, I'm saying that for people that actually don't want to play roulette, Corsair's stuff is only $10 more.

Yeah, OK, because one person offers a possible alternative or merely expresses caution at buying Fry's memory of the week, you get pissy? What are you getting money from this?

And yes - it is "up to me" - not that I was ever going to buy this anyway - I bought some stuff at Fry's today that I could actually examine the build quality and PCB board on - and paid an extra $10 (without having to use a rebate) for that privilege.

Excuse me i am not pissy, if you dont want to buy it dont, I researched this before i bought and made a great choice and others have as well...why do you keep posting???
Go buy what ever you want.......the choice is up to you...and what money.....go away now.....

I paid the same shipping amount on three sticks that I would have paid on one stick of memory. I personally do not like rebates and anytime I can get a great deal without rebates, that's me!

Those rebates are not for me either, seems I never get them back after mailing prefer instant rebates.
