I saw heavy bidding on a cloud locked Sport last night ended at $205. do people have a way of unlocking these? strange.
I did see several selling cheap with 'bad battery' and wondered if Apple would fix it under the warr. but no telling what is wrong.. looks more certain that AW2 will be same design so not as much a hit on AW1 I guess..

A general rule to live by is that when an apple device is iCloud locked, it's locked forever.

My guess is that no they do not have a way to unlock them. The last time anyone was able to unlock any apple iCloud locked device was never.

I got like new SG Sport on eBay for $199 this week. I found out about it by looking at the deals on eBay. They sold out quickly. I've bought from this retailer before so I knew their devices were legit. I am very happy with my decision. I probably would have felt bad for buying a Apple Watch for $300+ (retail price). $199 is reasonable for me.

Just scrolled through the first page of comments and I'm surprised nobody mentioned the obvious.

1. The product is almost a year old

2. Apple just dropped the price of a brand new 38mm sport to $299. That's why they dropped so much in price on the used market in the past week. Of course they're selling used for $200-$250. How much could you realistically expect them to sell for?

Most of us knew that. It's just that a selected few members seem to have a personal agenda for wanting to believe Apple blew it with the AW and it's selling poorly.

I agree totally with you. The number of Apple Watches sold have been estimated at about 14,000,000 hardly a fail at all. With a billion iOS users the market can only grow. This is a little more than 10% of the worldwide market of all watches made. Any company that achieved this in it's first year would be considered genius. I do believe that Apple overpriced it at first. The adjustment on price puts it in line with Android smart watches. They should adjust the prices of the bands and the stainless watch as well. Resale value is not a way to measure success. Watches in very rare cases are investments.[/QUOTE]

They're not brand new. It says New other meaning factory refurbished. I still bought one, but just a heads up.

There is a lot of hatred for the Apple Watch by some of the same people. They flock to any news release that is negative. They are so obsessed, they will like any post that mocks the Apple Watch or Tim Cook. Their obsession to post their dislike over 100 times and like negative posts 100's of times is a person who needs help. :)

It's a year old first gen product that brand new now sells for $299. Selling for $200 isn't bad but who cares. The Samsung Gear S2 came out in August of 2015 and sells for less than $200 on CL. Who cares. I could put my 42mm SS for sale on CL for $150 and just not sell it but leave it there. Doesn't mean jack.

I would be happy for anyone trying it out before investing in the next gen or try a sport before a SS and they got it for $100.

I hope it sells for less over the next several months.

at this rate I am tempted to pick up a cheap SS to have gold plated. For when I want more bling then my Space Black w/ link bracelet. :)

I think Im just having edition envy, I saw a gorgeous yellow gold 42mm edition that looked great on the wrist the other day.

You can get brand new seal box Black SS on eBay for around $300-$350. It's difficult to find brand new silver SS for less than $400 on there. But, since you are planning to get it painted gold, get a used condition Black SS for under $300.

DLC-coated SS can't be gold-plated. You'd have to stick with standard SS.

eBay's trending price is $439 for a Space Black SS, they are used or open box.

I am sure that is true, but I spent the last three days searching on eBay for an Apple Watch SS and saw quite a few brand new Space Black SS. I had quite a few in my cart but didn't purchase it because I was waiting on the $199 sale again for the Sport. Take into account, once someone posts them, they will sale quickly.

This took all of 10 seconds to find this one for $349:

And that sellers has quite a few of them.

By the way, I was specifically looking for 38mm Apple Watches.

Sorry was only speaking of 42mm. Had it been that size would have bought!
