$200 Low End iPhone?

if that mockup comes true MacFly i'm sold. I've held off signing up to a new contract since january in the hope that apple would release a striped down iphone as i use my phone to make phone calls not look up my nearest starbucks or to play games.

please let them make a striped down iphone
 
Higher standard

I thought this forum had a higher standard than what I am seeing in this thread. If this keeps up I may just delete my rss feed and forget about this place.

FWIW, A rumors thread can get pretty intense at times. There are plenty of other threads for products that exist now that are much more informative and maybe up to your "standards."
 
I'm just wondering what happened to the "iPhone Nano" that was talked about around the iPhone launch last year. On my local news they covered a story that talked about Apple offering a much smaller version in the "near future" for those who did not require such "advanced features" as the regular iPhone had. Maybe they were confused with the intro of the new G3 Nano.
 
drewsof07, I am well aware that there are other websites of this type but I have been reading this one for years and your kindly "advice" is quite frankly, not "advice." What I saw is not called pretty intense, it is called bad taste.

What if Apple released 2 new products in addition to the iPhone 2?

1) An iPod Nano Touch. Mini touch screen letting you do the most basic of functions with your music. No email, no maps, no nothing... but music.

2) An iPhone Nano- Similar concept. Just a smaller iPhone but with music. So it is just a phone and music... nothing more. There are tons of people out there who just want a phone, and music. No need for webapps, email, safari, etc.

Sounds good, but people do need text and if you give them text you may as well give them email to after all it is just a software.

Whats the point of having apple products if they let poor people have them? Poor people will just bring virus and poor diseases with them.

Seriously, when I pull out my iphone, I want the homeless guy who sees me do it to know that I spent 400 dollars on a phone, and he doesn't have 3 dollars for a cheeseburger. Not only that, but I spent it on a phone that doesn't even have GPS.

If that wino could go "maybe he got the subsidized version" it takes all the fun out of it.

Why would you want to show off or impress a homeless person? Sad.
I feel guilty walking by a homeless person with $1000 worth of gadgets in my pocket. He can't even afford a free phone because he can't afford the service.

EDIT: This post must have been sarcastic. I'm seeing a lot of that in this thread.

You guys are going to run out of "arguments" the day the last communist government closes up shops. But wait, there's plenty of "socialist" countries in Europe where you can send people who don't share your political views, right?
 
i'm really wanting to see this nano iPhone but sadly i don't think it'll happen. We have seen loads of 'leaked' photos of accessories for the new iphone yet none for the nano iphone. If people like Griffin are making 3G iPhone body cases wouldn't they be making nano iphone cases too? Wouldn't they have been 'leaked' as well?
