What I'm sick of is the obvious BIAS of ALL of the NBC broadcasters towards Edmonton. We get to watch the national anthems sung in Edmonton, but not in Raleigh; Pierre McGuire leads off a report from the RBC Center (which is in Raleigh, Pierre) with "Here in Canada..."; when an Edmonton player slams a Carolina player into the boards headfirst, they call it a good hit, but when a Carolina player does the same to an Edmonton player, they say the Carolina player "got away with a bad hit"... assuming, of course, that the officials don't call a penalty on the Carolina player for some idiot reason.
If I wanted to watch a pro-Canadian hockey broadcast, I'd tune in to CBC, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. NBC is an AMERICAN network and in the future, they need to have some American guys in the booth and reporting from the benches... because after this post-season, I'm not watching any more hockey on NBC.
(And right now, I ain't exactly thrilled with the quality of the officiating in this game. The Oilers are getting away with MURDER out on the ice. I'm surprised the officials don't let them sharpen their sticks so they can impale a 'Cane or two before the game's over.)
