Would a Pats loss be the biggest upset in sports history? I don't think many people give the Giants much of a shot. Altho I think they have plenty a shot. Would it still be considered a huge upset?

YES IT WOULD!!!!!!!!Because Pats rock and I bet with one of my frineds $20 that they would win

I don't think many people give the Giants much of a shot.

Apparently you haven't been watching ESPN or anything. Just about everyone says they have a shot and many are picking them to win.

They're the trendy pick now, just like the Jaguars were a few weeks ago.

Even a lot of the NY broadcasters don't give the Giants much of a shot. I still say it will be a close game and go right to the last minute.

What motive would Arlen Specter have to smear the NFL this way? Well if you consider that his second largest campaign contributor was Comcast - the same Comcast who has been in a very public dispute with the NFL over the carrying and cost of the NFL Network - then I think you would have the potential motive. Arlen Specter is giving the appearance of being nothing more than an attack dog for a corporation who gives him big monetary rewards. "Poke the NFL with a stick Arlen. That's a good boy. Here's a wad of crisp twenties as a Scooby snack."

I'd say no more than 10-20% of ESPN and other "experts" are picking the Giants. And everyone who is picking them is doing so by about 3 points, whereas people picking the Pats are picking them by up to about 3 TDs.

Exactly which laws were broken here? ;)

Anyway, more sour grapes.

Personally I think this is going to yet another incredibly close Pats (win) Superbowl.

First, how do you know unless you investigate?

Second, a law need not be "broken" for Congress to have the right to investigate a subject. Since the NFL is "interstate commerce," it is subject to Congressional power. And Congress is well within its rights to investigate something the size of the NFL. Whether it is a good idea or not is up to the constituents of the Congresspeople involved.

Finally, I hope the Pats win and complete the perfect season. I'd much rather listen to them than to the Dolphins. Go away already!

Macnut seems to think it was illegal. Anyway, sure the US government can waste whatever money they want whenever they want. However, that does not make it right and as an American and as a taxpayer, I think my money should be used in one of the many far more constructive ways than an inquest into why the NFL Commisioners office decided to destroy something that was their own property to begin with.

2008 Hall of Fame Class

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- It was a Hall of Fame day for the Washington Redskins, with Art Monk and Darrell Green elected to the shrine Saturday. Former commissioner Paul Tagliabue failed to get in for the second straight year.

Also voted in were New England linebacker Andre Tippett, San Diego/San Francisco defensive end Fred Dean, Minnesota/Denver tackle Gary Zimmerman and senior committee choice, Kansas City cornerback Emmitt Thomas.

Hey they gotta lose sometime. Might as well start now.:p

I never believed in probability theory. I dream of a 38-0 Pats team. Yes 2 perfect seasons in a row. Yes I am a dreamer :) Pats will eventually lose sometime, but it won't be tomorrow and it won't be anytime soon. Damn everyone must hate the Pats! 19-0 tomorrow,

I'm not a big fan of the Pats but I don't know that there is any team that can beat them right now let alone the Giants. Yeah, the Giants came as close as anyone during those last few weeks where it seemed the Pats lost their edge, but the Pats will kick it up a notch. I like the Pats by 20+. :)

Bless you brother. The only team that stood a chance were the Colts, but that game was not to be.

Pats fan here, but that's just wrong. The Ravens not only "stood a chance," but should have won, but for their own stupid penalties. I mean, hey, that's football, but the Ravens beat themselves; the Pats did not deserve to win that one.

Anyway, I never like to predict championship games involving my own favorite teams, so I'm just going to enjoy the game. :)

Is there a chance that it could backfire, that the Pats will get over confident and the Giants just walk through as a sleeper. The one thing I would worry about as a Pats fan is that everyone feels this is a sure thing. Never underestimate anything.

Well you are correct, the Ravens should have won that game. To go unbeaten you need some luck, but I was referring to the playoffs when I said the Colts were the only team that stand a chance.

The Pats are the least cocky team ever to play the game. They will play tomorrow's Super Bowl like they are 0-0.

Yeah, except we're talking about the Patriots here, not the Chargers.

no it will be more like this 100-6 Pats win!!!!!!!

the bandwagon has arrived.

without googling, can you name 5 guys on the patriots not named brady, moss, maroney, welker, bruschi, vrabel, samuel, or harrison?
