About time the Superbowl was a good game. Well I said 3 points, just thought it would be a bigger score.

**** asante samuel, ellis hobbs, russ hochstein, nick kazcur, logan mankins, and matt light

Congrats to the Giants and their die-hard fans.

**** all the bandwagoners who showed up 3 weeks ago

Spring Training: 12 days 13 hours 36 minutes

I don't have any champagne so I'm cracking open a Becks with the DOLPHINS. The ONLY perfect team!!! (Thank god, you Patriots fans are obnoxious enough as it is!) :D:D:D

talking about pats fans, where are they? boston has been way too arrogant lately, time for them to fall back to earth.

congrats to eli and the giants. talk radio will be fun tomorrow, i'll be listening to wfan then wfansouth (dopey host from new york who's a big flip-flopper between the pats and giants and said the giants would lose and that giants and giants fans were cocky).

Disappointed in my Pats, but 18-1 is still a really great run.

I officially lost interest in the game once Brett Favre and the Packers lost. THAT would have been a fun game to watch. This was just painful. Too many mistakes. Asaunte Samuel's near interception was the true heartbreaker of the game.

wow. Nice job Giants. But in the end, the Patriots still own the 21st century so far. Proud of 'em for that.

Right here..Or do you practice selective viewing?

i made the post before any pats fans showed up, so yeah, it's kinda late now.

You mean Russo?

no. i'm talking about a talk show host from new york who does a show here in florida, who says he loves the pats (has a brady obsession) and grew up a giants fan (but he's bashed the current team many times on his show). he ripped all the giants fans (like wfan) for being cocky and arrogant all week, and now there's egg on his face because his team lost to the giants. tomorrow ought to be a very interesting day in sports talk radio, especially for pats butt kissers. i'll be listening to wfan in one room and the herd (a pats butt kisser) on the other.

Just wanted to add my congratulations to the Giants. They played a great game, especially defensively and were the better team tonight.

A lot of people in the New England area and Las Vegas are probably quite upset right now.. ;)

I'm not a fan of either team but found that to be one of the most exciting Superbowls I have ever seen - it was great to watch.

And then of course there is the whole 18-1 thing, and how this result will reflect on the Patriots this season. Man, who will ever match what the magical '72 Dolphins did, i.e. going undefeated from the start of the season all the way through to winning the Superbowl? The Patriots have much to be proud about, and they will live in history for many other reasons, however matching that undefeated season seems to be so elusive... ;)

Once again, congrats to the Giants, you truly deserve the win for the way you played tonight.

Enjoy the win Macnut....At least you've been with the team all year ;)
There came a point in the 4th quarter that I felt proud about the Giants either way. They hung in there even when I was sure that the Pats were going to pull off their patented comeback.

What a day for Coflin, Mouth Breather and Burress.

Burress left when the Steelers where still good. Coflin had been on the firing block for what, 15 straight years, and Manning looks like fool but played Vegas for the fool.

They are like the Bad News Bears for 2008.

congrats giants, that was a great game. d-line pressured brady most of the game, and got tired towards the end, but then the offense came in to score. o-line was great for eli too. wonder what was up with the pats this game. maybe they got the sense that they were entitled to win and that it was their destiny.

I honestly have no idea about the score. It's going to be close though.

I am predicting one thing: Plaxico Burress getting jacked up by Rodney Harrison sometime within the first few series for the G-men.

and what does this have to do with 2007 NFL Season?

anyways, i'm hoping that Moss burns the Giants like he did in the regular season

Game prediction time!

NE 36, NYG 13.

19-0 And refuse to lose!

35-13 Pats

Pats = 5 Touchdowns; Giants = 1 Touchdown and 2 Field Goals.

Nope..The point is that even tho Brady threw 3 picks, the Pats still won..When most QB's throw 3 picks, their team loses..And this Pat's team isn't quite the same team the Giants faced either..

But GREAT teams can still loose to a team that plays better any given week. Doesn't mean much.

And I've been hearing that for the last 18 weeks...Keep hyping Eli's post season stats..Way to go..
I enjoyed the past 2 weeks of hype. It has been fun.:p I guess talk doesn't mean much after all.

It's not like they haven't been in any close games this season before. The Pats were able to pull those previous squeakers out, but this time they weren't. The first half of the season the Pats blew everyone out, but the last half and the playoffs teams were adjusting and keeping the games closer.

Congrats to the Giants fans for the ring and beating one of the best teams in NFL history in order to get it. To the cordial Pats fans obviously congrats on a stellar season, and tough loss being so close to history. To the irritating Pats fans, well, 19-0 would've been one for the ages but 18-1 is just a foot note in NFL history.

Mad Dog is an idiot, and Francesa isn't much better, especially over the past couple of years. I can't even listen to them anymore.

I'm so happy the Giants won I can't even describe it.

I'm not gonna lie that was a pretty boring game until the 4th quarter. Whoever had Pats 7 Giants 3 made a lot of money, first and second quarter.

I agree, that game was really boring up until the 4th quarter. And the guys who made off with most of the money for our SB pool have a combined age of 9 years old! My cousin apparently bought his kids squares for the pool, which were $10 each. His 6 year old had 7-3 for the halftime score, which he got $250 for. Of course, no one scored in the 3rd, so he got $100 more. After all the back and forth of the 4th quarter, his brother (3 years old) ended up having the final score of NYG 17, NE 14, which he got $500 for. I don't even think he had any idea what was going on.

I thought it was a great game. You don't need a ton of scores to make it a good game. It was a classic game of hard fought football. Better then watching a blow out in the 1st quarter.

My goodness, there is just something about a pink football jersey  Some things just aren't right..

Agreed... As a female fan, it's just never appealed. Why wear pink and white when you could wear your team colours?

And wasn't keen on Belicheck's new hoodie either...

No, I think it was their pressure on Brady all night that was the difference in the game. 3 or 4 sacks, 5 or 6 knock down in addition didn't leave Brady much time to throw.

Agreed. Their defense was the key in the game although the Pats did finally manage to get their quick release going in the 4th quarter. But yeah, that was the key play. I also don't understand why they didn't go for the long field goal on 4th and 13 rather than running a play. I'll bet if they'd still had Vinatieri, they'd have gone out and kicked it.

Agreed - although the 4th quarter is the only bit that I'd go back and watch.

The only good thing about the Giants winning, from my point of view since I don't like em, is that there's now two Brit-born players who actually played and got a ring. Previously, there was one who was only on the practice squad.

EDIT: Just checked and I came out ahead on the silly betting front too. Put about £10 of silly bets on and now have a balance of £32 :)
