And people thought I was nuts when I picked the 'Skins to win in both my leagues. :D

Very solid game from the 'Skins tonight. There were mistakes but they just rolled w/them and never started to unravel. I really like how Campbell is developing and I'd say that Taylor and Landry are going to be making a lot of receivers hear foot steps for years to come.

If Bob Craft did not have a salary cap he would spend a fortune on the team.

And this is different from any other team owner in any sport how??

Frankly, it's practically impossible to "buy a championship" in the NFL.

Just ask Redskins fans.

Yeah, and it seems that McNabb isn't endearing himself either..He should concentrate on trying to improve his game instead of putting blame elsewhere. It could be a long season for Eagle's fans :(

People need to cut McNabb a little slack. The rest of his offense (except for Westbrook) sucks ass and he's still not fully recovered from his ACL injury. It's only been like 8 months and you usually need 12+ months to recover from that. This pretty much will end up being a recovery year for him and he'll be much better next season.. they just need to get him another good offensive weapon. At least if they have a **** year they'll get a good draft position and should be able to pick up a good WR.

I love McNabb's race comments. I wish he'd try using that defense while speaking with Rex Grossman, and with a straight face.

Has Grossman ever put up numbers like McNabb? I agree McNabb can be a sensipoo sometimes but you have to admit Philly fans are a bunch of ingrates.

Didn't they go to the NFC championship for 4 straight years and then go to the Superbowl?

And how many rings did he get from those appearances? As a player, and franchise, that's what you're after...During that run,he had a solid defense behind him,a good running game and some decent wideouts (including TO). He can't say he hasn't had the tools behind him. He may be wearing on the team as well:

McNABB FACES THE MUSIC OVER HIS HBO REMARKS

At his weekly press conference, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb got an earful of questions from members of the media who wanted him to explain his now-infamous remarks from HBO's Real Sports regarding McNabb's belief that the media heaps more criticism upon black quarterbacks than on white quarterbacks.

Here's how it's being described on the Eagles' web site, by Justin Kunkel: "Nearly all of McNabb's 11-minute press conference was a verbal volley between the quarterback and members of the media who were trying to pin down exactly what McNabb meant in the interview. He said at one point that he feels he was asked questions that would not be asked of white quarterbacks in the same situation, a statement that seemed to bother many members of the media in attendance."

Kunkel also writes that "McNabb would not provide specifics as to what questions black quarterbacks are asked that white quarterbacks are not."

Yeah. Because he can't.

And it seems that the team is stepping away from McNabb on this one. Case in point -- the Eagles' P.R. staff included every question, and every answer from McNabb, in an e-mail sent out to members of the media.

Donovan, the interview created controversy not based on the questions asked, but based on the answers given. You spoke recklessly, without considering all of the facts. You've apparently since realized that you were wrong. But instead of merely saying so, you're trying to change what you said into something that you didn't say.

It's old. And we've lost interest. As Tiki Barber recently said regarding Eli Manning (a white quarterback who has been criticized relentlessly), you're paid to play quarterback, not to talk.

Our guess? McNabb's days in Philly are numbered. We used to think he'd be gone after the 2007 season; we now think there's an outside chance that he gets traded within the next month.

Kinda hard to do that when Grossman has only played like one full season. It has less to do with putting up the same numbers as it does that he's under constant scrutiny and criticism for making mistakes that most other quarterbacks make, even when he makes 'mistakes' that aren't his fault (the interception in the San Diego game is a great example). Though he did send them to the Super Bowl last year...well, the defense mainly did that. ;)

I'm just saying there are quarterbacks who aren't black who are getting crapped on just as bad, if not worse.

No way. I can't see that happening.

He's still one of the better QBs in the league. The Ravens, Bears, Dolphins, Falcons or Jets would immediately be better with him. Hell, maybe even the Chargers or Saints would be better with him after their disastrous starts.

Then he'll have to start producing and getting wins..Boston,New York and Philly are very similar sports wise..They're all "what have you done for me lately" towns..Fans want wins, not excuses and press conferences where it seems like he's trying to be the center of attention....

Which is why they should trade him now instead of waiting until he has a horrible year and then try to trade him.

And who is going to replace him? Garcia?! D'oh!

The problem isn't with McNabb. He's in the same situation Favre is (was?) in. Other than Westbrook, his team stinks. The GM is at fault (Andy Reid and/or Tom Heckert), not McNabb.

I wish they'd trade Westbrook to the Redskins.

ESPN.com is reporting that Kevin Everett may be walking in a few weeks.

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Kevin Everett's doctor plans to have him stand up on his own soon, and believes the Bills tight end will be walking within weeks -- or sooner.

"Soon, in Buffalo or in Houston, they're going to stand him up," Dr. Barth Green told The Associated Press, shortly after discussing Everett's condition with Bills orthopedic surgeon Dr. Andrew Cappuccino. "They're very confident he'll be walking very soon & in the next days or weeks, not months."

The prognosis is remarkable after Everett arrived at Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital paralyzed from the neck down after being hurt while making a tackle in Buffalo's season opener against Denver on Sept. 9. Doctors initially expressed fears Everett would never walk again.

Green is chairman of the neurological surgery department at the University of Miami school of medicine and has received regular updates from Everett's doctors on the player's progress.

"Now that doesn't mean he'll be walking normally, but standing up and holding his own weight," Green said. "I think the future for him is very bright."

Maybe McNabb should listen to Vince Young:
"I really feel like myself, black or white quarterbacks, we all go through something because that is the life of a quarterback,'' Young said Wednesday, according to the Nashville Tennessean. "You have to be able to handle all the pressure and you have to be able to handle the losses and you have to be able to handle the media saying this about you.

"If you can't handle it, then you have to get off that position and go play something else."

Possible translation: "Donovan, you're not handling the pressure very well. Maybe you should be a tight end."
