the giants weren't all that impressive.....the falcons are just terrible.

no kidding...point is they're winning,in spite of Coughlin,as per Tiki....

JETS WILLING TO ENTERTAIN OFFERS FOR CHAD

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the New York Jets are willing to entertain trade offers for quarterback Chad Pennington.

The trade deadline is 4:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday.

Pennington has performed poorly this year after having a solid season in 2006. So poorly that it's unlikely that someone will make a move.

Then again, with guys like Tim Rattay and Vinny Testaverde and Tim Hasselbeck getting work, shouldn't someone make a play for Pennington?

they may be winning now....but they did this same thing last year. won a few in a row in the beginning and then blew it.

i didn't realize the trade deadline was so close. the falcons could use a new quarterback, but i don't think Pennington would be the answer

Why is it whenever I see Mangini on the sidelines he looks like a petulant child, ready to throw off his headphones and start stamping his feet?

His team is 1-5,he has no QB,the season is pretty much over for them, his job could possibly be on the line....Just a thought...

If the Jets trade Pennington anywhere, it could be either Arizona or Carolina. Maybe St. Louis. All 3 teams are looking for short term solutions..

He's always looked like that though. Pouty. Temper-Tantrumy.

Maybe it's just because I'm a pats fan and I can't stand the Jets?
Maybe because he was once a disciple of Belichik, but now seems like a Sith Lord?

Actually,it's now more of a "deer in headlights" look

I can't wait to see the look on his face when the Jets come here in December. I wonder if Bill and him shake hands after the game?;)

The $500,000 handshake? :D

Will be interesting to see for sure...The fans will be nuts,no doubt..Some snow would be nice as well...

In all honesty, the AFC east has to be the worst division in football.Thankfully we get to play some teams outside the division,lol..With Miami trading Chambers today,I would expect Ginn to see more play Sunday..

Chambers to San Diego was a bit of a surprise. The Fins are presumably writing off this season completely and will rebuild their offense next year. Another 1st round WR perhaps, a larger possession style receiver to line up opposite Ted Ginn with Beck throwing to them?

From San Diego's POV, it makes their passing game less one-dimensional. So finally coming off the sort of performance you would expect from LT, things may start to look good for the Chargers.

As a Colts fan, I'm nervous about the road game in Jacksonville on MNF. Jones-Drew tore us apart last season and has just had his first monster game of the year.

I think the Fish need to start looking at their aging defense first, before bothering to sort out their pathetic offense. Or perhaps a new GM. Dante Culpepper? Come on.

Trent Green? Passing up Brady Quinn? lolz

Dolphins = failure

Randy Moss is amazing.

Brady to Moss = touchdown = epic win.

2 minutes to go in the 1st half:

Brady: 11/13, 220 yards, 4td, 0int

Moss: 2rec, 85yd, 2td
Stallworth: 1rec, 30yd, 1td
Welker: 3rec, 54yd, 0td

Willie Andrews: 74yd KR TD

The Bills have completely shut down the Ravens. Of course, they can't punch it into the end zone themselves, so only lead 9-0 at the half.

I'll be taking suggestions on how the Bills can lose this one as time expires.

Another touchdown, Brady to Welker.

25 seconds to go in the 1st half.

42-7 Patriots.

We've got the Giants and 49ers out here in the People's Republic of Kalifornia. Between the local channels and SNF, I think I've seen the Giants every week now! Grrr.

I have a feeling we will be seeing some Matt Cassel in the not too distant future.

I love how people on sportsline and espn are bitching that the Patriots are "classless and running up the score".

Ah, there it is...the first shoe drops. Bills up by 12 with the ball deep in their own zone and 8:00 to go after stopping the Ravens on downs, and Edwards throws an INT. Ugh. :(

Well Brady's done for the day:

19/23, 327 yards, 5 touchdowns, 0 int

158.3 passer rating

edit: scratch that, Cassel through a pick to Taylor who returned it for a TD. Brady is back in.

edit 2: Brady to Welker, TD pass #6.

Wait...the Bills were able to hold a lead?! Somebody pinch me!

And yes, Brady's ridiculous season just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. Six TDs?!

And of course, the Niners are getting hammered. It's really hard to win when Dilfer keeps giving the ball to guys wearing different-colored jerseys.

Wow. The Redskins BARELY hung on to win against the Cards. How sad. Warner has a screwed up left arm and the Cards had to play Rattay at times (their 3rd string QB)... and the Skins still only won by two points.

WTF were the Dolphins thinking? Not only letting go of Welker, but letting him go within the Division?

No wonder they're 0-7..
