Other than tradition, is there any reason to still have two conferences?

Why not have the 8 divisions as now, but have the 8 division winners plus the next best 4 teams make the playoffs.

The 12 teams would then be seeded, and playoffs would play as now (with re-seeding after each round).

That way, there is chance that the best two teams would make the Superbowl, instead of watching them meet in the Conference championship, which has happened many times.

1996 season, 1997 Super Bowl, so it would be a rematch of 11 years ago.

That was the year of Howard's return... he made the SB MVP that game, and then promptly moved to Detroit for the chance to be a receiver and dropped out of existence shortly thereafter.

I'd like to see a repeat, and Favre to retire and it's about time for another Super Bowl upset since we haven't had one since XXXVI when the Pats won against St. Louis, prior was XXXII when Denver beat GB.

GB screwed themselves on that defensive series. Harris wrapped up Plexico way before the ball got there and the GB blitzer was way late hitting Eli and didn't even try to pull up. Of course then there were the false starts at the goal line. I like how GB's D plays physical, but if they keep playing dumb they'll hand the Giants a W.

No one hates the Giants more than me. On the last Giants TD drive I put my fist through the wall. I know calm down it's only a game.

It's WI, they've been drinking since 9:00 a.m. With the game at 5:30 that gives plenty of time to plan....

and they were yellow bikinis, they could have been from a souvenir shop at Lambeau.
