I imagine I'll be one of the only people (bar Arsenal and Chelsea fans) who is distraught by Burnleys exploits in the League Cup
The Dingles deserve nothing but ill fate.

Arsenal join the mighty Chelsea tonight, in being beaten by Burnley in the Carling Cup 2-0.
Bendtner has to go...he is NOT premiership material. Also IMHO Arsene should have swapped Bendtner for Vela in front and make Bendtner play from the left.
To me Bendtner cost Arsenal the match by not finishing his chances...yet again. Not to take anything away from Burnley they played well and took their chances but...
Blimey.. he had a bad game but that doesn't necessarily mean he HAS to go. He has scored a few too.. he's too young to tell yet.
And I don't really care.. it's the Carling Cup. In a way it's nice to not have that round of fixtures now, which gets in the way of the important stuff.
Meanwhile, West Ham have sorted themselves out with new shirt sponsors. The logo of Isle of Man-based bookies SBOBET will replace those awful squad number patches they've been wearing since their previous sponsors XL went under, starting with the match against Spurs next Monday.
However, the polyester rags worn by the teams academy side - as well as children's replica kits - will instead be adorned with the logo of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research.
Roy Keane's out of Sunderland.
Jumped or pushed? Guess we'll find out later.
Not entirely surprising though.
It was the beard wot dunnit.
We enjoyed some fantastic results during the month Phil Brown (and several players) grew a beard, so it proves that a beard doesn't drain you of your gafferish prowess. I think the blame for Keane's managerial mishaps shouldn't lie with the beard, but more his poor handling of it.It was the beard wot dunnit.
I can't say for certain, but given that it's just the sponsor's logo that's changed rather than the design of the shirt itself I think they'll be able to sell 2008-09 shirts with the new logo. After all, the change was out of West Ham's hands.Am I right (well most probably wrong) in thinking that they won't be able to sell the new shirt with the sponser as this consitutes two shirts one season. Or as it is only a minor change and not an overall design change it will be allowed.
Bendtner has to go...

What about Denilson? I don't think he's that bad but a lot of gooners have been moaning about him lately.
Its not just this game...he is not clinical and often wastes chances. Obviously, if you have 100 chances even granny will eventually put one or two away.
He is another candidate...kept giving the ball away...weakest link in midfield and couldn't score a sitter either
Eduardo's return seems imminent. "As soon as possible he will play now," confirmed Wenger. "He is joining in full training matches but he needs games now."
I think I read somewhere that all the people that bought a West Ham shirt can get a free exchange when the new one comes out...
bbc.sport said:Quinn, who held talks with Keane over three days in an attempt to persuade him to stay, added: "He lifted this place off its knees, he is a tremendous influence.
"Five weeks ago (after beating Newcastle) people were dancing in the streets of Sunderland. It's a funny world football and I hoped I'd never have to do this day.
Sunderland had better not start sniffing around our gaffer. That's all I'm saying.
they were loving keane not two months ago. keane took them as far as that crap line up would go... they needed to spend a few quid, not fire him.
he is gong to be a very good manager.
No way could he have spent £80 Mill
Think it was £30 mill
Keane, who had spent more than £70m on 33 players since 2006, guided the club into the Premier League during his first season as manager before keeping them there last term.
I've just read that basically they can take their own shirt along to the club shop and, rather than exchanging it, they'll just print the new sponsors patch over the old XL logo.I think I read somewhere that all the people that bought a West Ham shirt can get a free exchange when the new one comes out...
To be fair, if I'd spent £70 million+ and the best I had to show for it was Kieran Richardson and El-Hadji Diouf I'd leg it as well.
There have been many reports that the number is up around 80 million, over his time as a manager there. This is from the latest BBC news article about keane
