Indeed - let us not forget Arsenal being out-thought, out-played and out-sung by the mighty Tigers in their own 'manor', as I believe Londoners say. :)

Lets see if you can do it again later on in the season at your "manor" ;)

Hopefully west ham can pull of a draw or maybe even a win :)eek:) today...then again I may be asking for to much

Did the ball deflect off a defender and then fall to RVP for his first goal, or was he just offsides? Good show from the Dutchman; when he's healthy he's a major contributor.

Ferguson is trying to make Ronaldo's sending off sound harsh...Is winning everything not enough for that man? Does he also feel he deserves to have the rules bent in his favor? Sometimes he needs to simply shut up.

Of course, West Ham and the Tigers are part of a very exclusive club, being among only a handful of teams to have beaten Arsenal at the Emirates in the Premier League - maybe we ought to make some little badges or something? :p

I think West Ham were the last team to beat them at Highbury and the first at the Emirates.

He was off-side.

Ronaldo partically talked himself into the red card. As with his inital yellow card showed quite a lot of decent to the ref and thus used up any good will which would've been applied to the handball.

I loved how Ronaldo tried claiming he heard the whistle and was pointing the guy on the floor, when you look at the reply all of this happened behind his back and there is no whistle sound at all. Don't know what he was thinking.

Yesterday was quite the football day. Woke up and watch the Swansea - Cardiff game with a bit of seitiching with the Histon Leeds game. Then went to the pub to watch more of the Histon game and then City vs United followed by Arsenal Chelsea. Then watched Match of the day in the evening.

Off to the pub tonight to watch the Liverpool West Ham game. Hopefully Liverpool can capitialise of Chelsea losing.

Perfect weekend for Man Utd, brings them right back up there.

What a surprise Match of the day didn't say anything in their analysis about John Terry who should've been sent off.

Not that many exciting draws, I think Birmingham v Wolves is the pick of the bunch.

The reaction of the Histon lads was very funny as it was obvious the were hoping a trip away to one of the big lads and there were disappionted.

I can't believe Ronaldo acted surprised that he was being sent off. That was the most flagrant handball I've seen since Scholes' attempted Hand of God effort in the Super Cup against Zenit St. Petersburg. At least the Ginger Prince had the decency to walk quietly off the field after that one.

So Jaffa, I was paying you a compliment. :)
Yep, we're ace – we're a top six side, you know. :D

On the Ronaldo sending off, I really don't know what to make of it. On the one hand he doesn't seem to be trying to gain any advantage by handling – he hits the ball down away from goal, in a situation where he's going to be able to get a chance in. He also did seem surprised by the fact that he was being penalised.

However, it was a deliberate handball and by the letter of the law it was a bookable offence, so the referee was right to show a yellow card. Indeed, we've all seen penalties and yellow cards awarded – and even players sent off – for completely accidental handballs in the area... think of situations where an attacker strikes the ball towards goal and there's a defender close by. The fast moving ball hits an arm and the penalty is awarded and a card is shown, even though the offending player has no way of moving his arm out of the way. Such accidents are routinely punished, so why shouldn't this? It was clearly a bookable offence.

I'm particularly annoyed with Ronaldo over this because – by getting sent off – the petulant Portuguese playmaker cost my Fantasy Football team big points. Pah.

Classic Liverpool so far, laboring to break down a side we should be trouncing if we are going to be champions.

Apparently Robbie Keane is on the pitch, but he's doing a good job of hiding. This sounds like the right time for another Dirk Kuyt clutch goal.

Stoke, Fulham and now West Ham. 3 chances to get a decent points run under their belts but 3 lost opportunities.

Keane needs to step up and actually score some goals. Feeling the loss of Torres yet again.

The problem is, Keane isn't really the sort of player who does well in the 'lone striker' role – he plays much better with another player alongside him.

On the subject of Liverpool strikers, how many times is this now that Torres has been sidelined due to a dodgy hamstring?

5. :(

At least he has 3 playstations to play with while resting

I know about Keane but still he has to score some goals, he plays far too back when he is a lone striker. He is rushing everything.

After David James' performance-sapping PlayStation exploits, I would have thought Liverpool would have banned their players from them. ;)

Perhaps we should play Babel or Kuyt up front with him.
Not a bad idea – Keane can be a very good player when he's at his best, and he's unlikely to be at his best playing the lone role.

Kuyt was supposed to be playing up front tonight, though he looked a little lost first half - probably wondering what Benayoun (who I thought was very poor) was doing in his position.

Keane just looks like everything is laboured. I thought his first goal would have opened the floodgates - or at least relaxed him - but maybe not...

Can't be good for him to see us linked with Heskey again

You were at the game! That must have been awesome.

I managed to get tickets to the Man Utd game, and must say it was one of the most stressful experiences I've been through

Yeah, it was awesome. One of my recent football highlights for sure.

United was very fun too.. didn't feel like it until the final whistle, but it was. The fact Chelsea was away too.. made it a bit more special  Amazing atmosphere.
