Wow, the Chargers are going to go 0-3.

So much for the Super Bowl!

Plus, I'm thinking that the Chargers should have kept Turner and traded Tomlinson.

(By the way, Westwood One has Marv Albert and Dennis Green doing the broadcast tonight. I think they do a pretty good job. Better than some on TV... like the crew doing MNF!)

WTF was River's thinking with that pass??He was looking at the receiver all the way..How soon before Tomlinson pulls himself out of the game?
Westwood One ftw..

Speaking of getting rid of the wrong players... they should have dumped Rivers (what a pain in the ass he is -- did you watch his antics last week by giving that Denver QB the cold shoulder?!) and kept Breese.

How soon before Tomlinson pulls himself out of the game?

HAHAHAHA! :D

Westwood One ftw..

You listening too?

Poor Brett. He could be home, drifting down the Mississippi, sipping mint juleps... instead he is in Jet hell.

That's his own fault. No sympathy for him..And he should buy Leon Washington a Rolex tomorrow. His return gave the Jets first and goal at the five and another return put them at the 50...Jets other score comes on a defensive TD. NY papers should be fun tomorrow..

Who would have thought that Eli would be the NFL's elite quarterback.

Yeah, fifteen years being told you are a god... then two months with the Jets and they call you god-damned!

Exactly..He doesn't have his cadre of GB media appologists around him now.
BATTERED BY BOLTS, JETS QB LOOKS HIS AGE
By MARK CANNIZZARO
September 23, 2008 - SAN DIEGO - Brett Favre has had a lot of magical memories on Monday Night Football. Last night, Favre's 24th appearance on the iconic NFL showcase, was not one of them. The 38-year-old Jet quarterback looked his age in last night's 48-29 Chargers shellacking of the Jets

Jet's fans aren't happy either:
If they want to charge a PSL, they better. Otherwise, the stadium will be empty for rest of season.

No one wants to sit outside in the elements watching a fat, retarded Penguin and a shell-of-his-former-self HOF hand the ball off to a bunch of scrubs

Mangini is in way over his head. That onside kick was asinine.

He's no defensive genius either. We'll be lucky to win 4 games this year.

Mangini starts looking like Hermy out there

Actually, he looks worse than Herman

And Brett wonders why Green Bay didn't want him back. Everyone knew that the honeymoon would end someday. Brett just thought he would find the fountain of youth. Lets just see if Rogers can get the last laugh or end up on the unemployment line.

Another slap to the Jets face is the fact that Pennington actually did what the almighty Brett couldn't. Beat the Patriots.

It's going to get even uglier if they don't start playing good. They were totally beaten last night.Mannotevenkindasmart has to feel the vise tightening on his nads.I'm sure Benigno had fun on the FAN this morning. And to top it all off???
How pathetic is it that you can't spell the four letter name of your team with it right on your shirt??LMFAOx10:D

You know ESPN would not have shown it if it was spelled correctly.:p

My buddy and I caught that last night and got a kick out of it. Jeez, I bet that guy feels like a jackass today.

Westwood One ftw..[/QUOTE]

How are you listening to Westwood One? I've never heard of it, so I did some Googling, and it seems to be satellite only.

Westwood One is a national syndication that was owned by CBS Radio. You hear it through a local station.
The company is one of the largest producers and distributors of radio programming in the United States. It broadcasts entertainment, news, weather, sports, talk, and traffic programming to about 7,700 radio stations across the USA. The company is America's top provider of local traffic reports through its subsidiaries, Metro Networks, Shadow Broadcast Services and SmartRoute Systems.
Westwood One is most notable for its coverage of live events. The company broadcasts live concerts, college football and NHL hockey games, and also holds exclusive national radio rights for many National Football League games, the Olympic Games, the NCAA Basketball Tournament (this and NFL coverage are co-produced with corporate sibling CBS TV), the Masters and U.S. Open golf, Wimbledon tennis tournament, and the GRAMMY Awards.

No, they are terrestrial. All over the place actually. The hard part is finding them because their website doesn't work (try the search for a local station function) and they don't own the station (they must be a package a station can buy in a particular market).

The station that carries it out here is an ESPN Sports station which is ABC... yet they carry Westwood One broadcasts which is CBS (or was CBS, who knows).

As for Regret Farve :D, I'm sure he has come to his senses. This team is as bad as any he was on in Green Bay. (He came back for this?!) If he was smart, he'd take a dive... let some big guy squish him and go home for the rest of the season.

Yeah,I get Westwood on the local affiliate here..I mute the TV and use the audio from there..Honestly,I can't take that MNF crew anymore. Tedious is an understatement. Listening to Tony K disagree with Jaws over and over gets old..Fast..
As for Lord Favre, the Jet's "Savior", he looks like he's out of gas.Not to mention looking like a QB that showed up one week before the start the of season..But as he says over and over,he's "having fun out there"..Just what a team paying you $12 mil/year wants to hear....

Matt Millen was let go of his duties.
The Matt Millen era is over in Detroit.

The embattled Lions team president and chief executive officer is leaving the position, his wife Patty told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

"We're fine," Patty Millen said. "In the world's view, this may look like failure. It's been a hard road, football-wise, but we've gotten a lot of eternal blessings. We'll move forward. I told him, 'You're out of football prison now' and we have a greater purpose."

FOXSports.com first reported Wednesday that Millen had been removed from his position. It was unclear whether he had been fired or had resigned, according to the report.

The move comes two days after Bill Ford Jr., the son of team owner William Clay Ford, publicly said he would have fired Millen if he had the authority to do so.

The Lions are 31-84 under Millen. But until this point, the Lions have resisted widespread demands from fans seeking Millen's ouster.

According to the report, Millen had informed a number of employees about the change on Wednesday morning and had large packing boxes in his office.

It's about time.

What's going on with Plaxico:
GIANTS SUSPEND PLAXICO

The New York Giants, who have followed their Super Bowl championship with a strong start to the 2008 regular season, have suspended receiver Plaxico Burress, according to Jay Glazer of FOX.

Wow.

Per Glazer, Burress failed to show up for work on Monday, and he failed to respond by calls from the team aimed at obtaining an explanation for his unexcused absence.

It’s a two-week suspension, but since the Giants are off on Sunday he’ll only miss one game, against the Seahawks.

Burress was a key component of last year’s Super Bowl run, and he played most of the season with a torn ligament in his ankle before catching the game-winning touchdown pass in Super Bowl XLII. He received a new contract in the hours before the regular-season opener against the Redskins.

He is scheduled to meet with team officials on Wednesday morning to explain himself.

Stay tuned.
