No, I agree that they hadn't played anyone. But I feel a BCS team could play similar weak teams, but if they were to go undefeated they would be ahead of every non-BCS team that also went undefeated. And if they were to lose their Championship Game to a similarly weak team they would only drop maybe five or six spots. Definitely not 11.

I think it's a real possibility. The AJC said today that Tech's AD had a meeting planned to either give PJ a raise or extend his contract. They are worried someone is going to come along and try and steal him.

He had said before though that Georgia Tech was the only program that he would leave the Naval Academy for, so I'm going to hold him to it.

Ole Miss did the same with Houston Nutt

Where's the thread on FCS football? :p :D

My Richmond Spiders knocked off Appalachian State yesterday to advance to the semifinals for the second straight year. They'll play at Northern Iowa on Saturday.

The other semifinal sees Montana heading to James Madison on Friday night.


Like anyone who doesn't/didn't go to an FCS school cares...although FBS could learn a thing or two from the FCS setup. :rolleyes: :cool:

The Sooners and Gators finished atop the BCS standings Sunday and will meet Jan. 8 in Miami for the title.

Both teams are 12-1 and coming off wins in their conference title games Saturday. The Sooners routed Missouri 62-21 to win the Big 12. The Gators beat Alabama 31-20 in the Southeastern Conference.

The Sooners are led by quarterback Sam Bradford and are the first team to score 60-plus points in five straight games since 1919.

Oklahoma announced on Sunday that Bradford underwent successful surgery this morning in Oklahoma City to repair ligament damage in his left hand.

The procedure took 90 minutes and he was later discharged and attended a team function.

"It was a clean, routine procedure and we expect Sam to bounce back quickly," OU coach Bob Stoops said. "He'll be practicing again within 10 days and we've taken this week off anyway so he won't miss much."

The Gators are led by quarterback Tim Tebow and are seeking their second title in three seasons.

You do understand why I can not root for the Sooners and I understand why you can not root for the Gators.

We both have the teams we hate the most playing in the NC. I will say I do not see myself watching that game. Sorry I can not bring myself to watch OU.

So we are cool right :-D
