man I am going to need a lot of alcohol no matter matter what just because the sooners are in the NC. I need it on that day just deal with the fact the Sooners are playing in the NC.

Dawg my friend needs some just because the Gators are playing in that game.

I saw this thread and figured I had to contribute an "annoying" Gator chant that everyone pretty much seems to hate.

BCS NC: Oklahoma over Florida
Fiesta: Texas over Ohio State
Sugar: Alabama over Utah
Orange: Virginia Tech over Cincinnati
Rose: USC over Penn State

Since I live in NE, I do pretty much have to root for the Huskers too and I like USC but that's about it and of course OU is my favorite. We are a really sports crazed family, lol.

Ya, but I like Oklahoma wayyy more. My family isn't too excited about that but again, since you haven't heard it enough, Sam Bradford is better than any NU player.... So basically I don't care about Nebraska, just Oklahoma.
 
I just gotta say i'm pretty proud of my james madison university dukes. We're doing amazing this year.

Now I'm pissed. Did anyone else watch ESPN's bowl selection show when they were talking about the Sugar Bowl match-up? I think everyone agreed that Utah can hang with Alabama, I didn't expect anyone to pick Utah to win so things were going along just fine........

Then one of the comentators opens up his mouth and says something to the effect that Utah isn't some soft team that is just going to roll over for the Tide, and that they would be bringing a Boise State type game to the Sugar Bowl.


What the hell is that all about? Utah isn't going to bring a Boise State anything to the Sugar Bowl. They're going to bring a Utah type of game to the Sugar Bowl and I think it's insulting to imply that Utah needs to be compared to Boise State to prove their worthiness. When we busted the BCS in 2004, I've no doubt that we could have played with and even beaten any team in the country. It's not our fault that we got paired up with a Cupcake in the Fiesta Bowl that year, we didn't ask for it. We went out and slaughtered Pitt, but because it was Pitt we got no respect.

I'm sorry, but until Boise State makes it into another BCS bowl they'll have to live up to being worthy to be compared with the University of Utah.

And did anyone else get a sick feeling watching the celebration at the university of Cincinnati? The Orange Bowl is truly representative of all that's wrong with the BCS this year. Here we have two middle of the pack teams that are going to be placed against each other in one of the most lucrative bowl games based solely on the technicality that their respective conferences have automatic bids. Each team did just enough to avoid the technicality that would have kept them out of the BCS. The fans and players all celebrating like they did something special. Guess what, finishing 11 and 2 in this years Big East, and 9 and 4 in this years ACC is nothing special. And I think it's a sham that these two teams will be getting such a huge payout while Texas Tech and Boise State are left with nothing. Feel free to disagree if you like, but thats how I see it this year.

The only consolation/quasi silver lining is that we are going to have a hell of a matchup between TCU and Boise State this year in the poinsettia bowl. TCU will give Boise State fits with their rock solid defense, and Boise State will keep TCU guessing with their trick offense. I think that this will definitely be one of the most intriguing games of the post season. Sure TCU lost two, but those losses were Oklahoma and Utah (and Utah was a squeaker in which TCU had every chance and then some to win), they held Oklahoma to their lowest scoring game of the season. I'm not comfortable calling a winner in that matchup, but I will be watching that one for sure.

Holy crap. I lost track of this game with all of the BCS nonsense. This looks to be the best match up of all the bowl games and that includes all the BCS games. I'll be glued to this game for sure.

Err, um, I mean, how 'bout them Gators? I'm looking forward to them putting some major hurt on OK, showing the country that SEC is the strongest in the nation, and the Gators are the strongest in the SEC.

Along those lines, would it really be that hard to root for the Gators? In the past two NCs, the Gators and Les Tigres demonstrated the SEC is stronger than the Big 10. A Gator win would make the case the SEC is the strongest conference in the nation (except to Pac 10 fans, for whom there's always next year).
 
I happen to like Tim Tebow. Kid's amazing. His parents are nice too. They've come to my church on occasion.

And I'm hoping either Bradford of Stafford get picked up by the Jaguars, because well, Gerrard needs to go.
