2 of those trophy's have not been won (this season and will not be won)

Lord Stanley and Vince Lombardi.

I do see the Celtics winning it all this season though.

Stanley Cup is from 1972 and Lombardi is from 2004

The ceremony was awesome though. They had guys like Bobby Orr, Bill Russell, Tedy Bruschi, etc. who helped carry in the rings.

Like I said, those 2 won't be won this season. :p

Yea, that must've been a cool ceremony. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Great day today.. getting the rings, Bill Buckner throwing out the first pitch. The game was pretty good too. Daisuke went 6.2 shutout innings, giving up 4 hits and striking out 7. Manny actually hustled his ass off and came up with a triple (he was given home on a throwing error). MDC and Oki finished off the game with 2.1 shutout innings of relief. Sox win 5-0.

Daisuke is looking great so far. If he keeps pitching like this (and Beckett pitches like he did last year) the Sox will have the best 1-2 punch in the league.

Ouch, and Phil Hughes just got yanked after 3.0IP. :p

oh yeah :)

Im surprised they let Buckner back in, rather then throwing out the first pitch they should of made him catch it instead.:p And what is the point of all the trophies? Unless they are all current it is pointless. Maybe Jeter should flash his rings.:p Wait why not bring Yogi to flash his 10.

Until the Red Sox become a dynasty they can't really talk. 2 in 4 years is not as big as 4 in 5.

Can't call Boston the city of champions anymore either, how long has it been since the Pats, Celtics, and Bruins won again?

wow. i got chills just reading this and seeing the pics. enjoy.

p.s. macnut seems pretty put out so this must be a good thing.;)

Looks like someone should have bought the MLB package this year.

So if the Tigers manage to go 0fer10 is their season over. It will take a month just to get back to .500

No there season isn't over… hitting comes in streaks and goes in streaks there just in a bad funk who would think that with that lineup the entire lineup would go cold at the same time. I think there pitching is suspect but they can make some moves before the trade deadline

That is not an easy division, the longer they keep losing the higher the hill becomes to climb.

It truly is a wonderful sight to see you back in here.
Who me?
Well look what the cat dragged in.
Indubitably

Unless they go 10-0 in their next ten games.

But seriously...
That is not an easy division, the longer they keep losing the higher the hill becomes to climb.

They really don't have an "easy" team in their schedule until the 22nd against the rangers. I'm really amazed at all the hype that they got at the beginning of the season, and batting Rentaria 7th, you'd expect more. Oh well...

In other news, Braves DL Soriano (no, the other Soriano: Raphael, not alfonso... who doesn't play for us), not good for our team who's 0-4 in 1 run games.

0-5 in one run games, we lost another one last night. and it explains why he sucked on sunday and almost blew it. who's going to be the closer now? this season is a mess.

Actually it was inexplicably blacked out on MLB.TV too. I was very upset, until I saw how the Mets blew it anyways.

Detroit is two runs up on the BoSox going into the 7th. The only thing crazier than that being a final score is Mike Pelfrey actually getting a win... that would take like 4 errors from the Phillies.
