What?! You mean that the entire world doesn't care about the Yankee's and Red Sox? You mean there are 28 other teams that play 162 games a year?! Say it ain't so. I really thought the world of baseball revolved around the Yankee's and Red Sox series.

Hmm... Looks like I'll have to rethink my life.

I guess it won't surprise most of you but I lived in South Korea for most of 2006 and a lot of my students wore Yankees shirts and hats. Not a single one of them knew who they were or that they were even a baseball team.

I was at the Mets/Brewers game... Santana got pushed around today. Ben Sheets pitched a hell of a game.

How often do you go? I'm coming up in July to say goodbye to Shea. I'll buy you a beer.

I'm actually a Yankee fan. I went to the Mets game yesterday because my friend got $2 seats. No way in hell was I gonna pass that up. :D :p

You can still buy me a beer though :D Fair warning, they are $8/ea. Lemme know when you're gonna be up and we'll go to a game.

Nobody's perfect.

Used to live in Queens so I've bought my share of $8 beers, but thanks for the reminder. How about instead I'll get the dogs, you get the beers. :D I'll let you know/mention here when I get my tickets to fly up. Usually come back to NYC around July 4 for my bud's rooftop party and plan on hitting both stadiums at least once.

Unfortunately the weekend's Yankee games - which are typically impossible anyways - are against this team called the Boston Red Sox, and I hear those are tough to get into.

Unfortunately, I think the hot dogs are around the same price.

Sounds good. Rooftop party? Gnarly. Booze, babes and music :D

Yea, if you sell your kidney and perhaps so other organ you might be able to get tickets to that game.

By the way, anyone see this article? I lol'd.

And then I cringed... are you kidding me?
We need to find this and move it to the new house.
And Mickey Bradley, a co-author of "Haunted Baseball," told the New York Post that a worker was said to have buried an unknown good-luck charm in a water main trench of the current Yankee Stadium back in 1920.

anyone going to the Sox/Yankee game tonight? This will be my first game in two years
i'll be sure to post pics

Doug Davis came into the dugout during the first inning of the game today, just days after his cancer surgery.

Buchholz fell apart mid way.

First of all, Clay pitched a good game. I'll take 6 IP and 1 ER from my starter every time.

If you want to talk about falling apart, we can talk about Hughes. He got his ass handed to him. 2+ IP and 6 ER. He was very shaky on the mound, seemed like he crossed Molina up 2 or 3 times.

Daisuke is good when he throws his fastball.

He threw way too many breaking balls tonight.

lol @ Phil Hughes.. you'd rather have that than Santana, Cashman?

I'd rather have Hughes, we know he will be good in 5 years, can't say the same for Santana.

Dice-K is not having a career night either.

We need to play in warmer weather.

So what would you call Hughes' start if Clay "fell apart mid way". Your such a typical Yankee fan that its disgusting.

Hughes never had it, he fell apart at the start. 60 pitches in 3 innings is not good. Hughes has good stuff just needs to grow a bit.

I would like to know what you call a typical Yankee fan.

I would like to know what you call a typical Yankee fan.

A typical Yankee's fan is someone who has their NYY blinders on at all times. You can't have the good sense to compliment most other teams (especially the Sox) for what they do well. If Hughes had the exact same line as Buchholz, you'd be drooling all over him. But since its a Sox pitcher, its "he fell apart mid way" cause he walked a couple guys. 6 IP 1 ER, thats a quality start no matter who you ask (excluding a typical Yankees fan).

If he pitched a 2 hitter I would say wow that was great. Wang out pitched the whole team case closed.

I think Saturdays game was more a pitching duel then Fridays.

The fact is that while Buchholz pitched good Wang pitched great.

All Time Home Run List

Ted Williams 521
Alex Rodriguez 521

so now he pitched good? I thought he "fell apart in the middle". Next time Hughes goes 6 IP and gives up 1 ER, just remember that he "fell apart in the middle" while your slobbering all over him.
