I think Celtic would be a good move for Keane. I still think he could have been a good player for Liverpool under different circumstances - we could certainly use an in-form Robbie Keane right now.

Another club he supported as a wee lad?
No doubt.

So, any wagers as to how long it will be before he's back playing for Spurs? The closest guess wins a Liverpool shirt. :)

Run down St James' Park may be, but I'll wager the toilets aren't as bad as at York City...

Yep, don't think it gets any worse than those and I've been lucky enough to experience them a few times! Was there earlier in the season, in fact (Oxford fan here). Bet they seem lightyears away for you now, Jaffa, and it's strange to think we were in the same division only a few years ago.

(Sorry to quote such an old post but only just started reading this thread...)

Another one of Deano's old clubs, of course... ;)

Yep, he has had a few. He was brilliant at the time though, I remember. Would love to get back to something approaching that level soon. Hopefully we're on the way up again now.

Oh crap.
I was hoping they'd re-signed Roy Keane.

Even if he's a dud, (and even if he only plays at 95% he'll probably still be better than most) his presence will sell shirts and distract other teams tactics. Interesting move for Celtic.

Terry has lost the England captain's armband.

Rumours are it's under Wayne Bridge's bed.

Ok enough.
Betting tonight...

Some good ones tonight. AZ away at NAC look like a good bet. AZ have got Advocat in charge temporarily and he's a magician. They were champions last year but under performing this year. Won't be for long and I fancy this match to be the turning point.

Chelsea will absolutely destroy Hull in my opinion, but I'm sticking with -1 because if Hull score (Hunt is good) Chelsea need 4 to get -2 to come in.

Celtic away to Kilmarnock looks like a bit of a banker...

Preston should batter Barnsley at home too.

***DO NOT TOUCH WIGAN WITH A BARGEPOLE***
Martinez is planning on playing fringe players apparently. If there's a club that's going to upset someone it's Notts "first team ever" County and their big money (ish) owners.

Colchester should beat Carlisle anorl with Lord Prutton on board.

So I've gone for:

Chelsea -1
Preston -1
Celtic -1
Colchester -1

Yankee & fourfold.

Chelsea -1
AZ Alkmaar

Double

In further Prutton news, there's an open letter from him on the Leeds site.

Dear All,

It's been one of the privileges of my life so far to have played for such a world renowned, highly respected football club.

The friendships I have made, the memories I hold dear and the sheer pleasure of being a Leeds player will stay with me for a long time.

Leeds United gets under your skin (as I'm sure all you avid fans know) and there will be a part of me that will always be Leeds.

I am proud to have played a part in bridging the gap between an uncertain past and a no doubt glorious future.

Leeds fans are loud, loyal and passionate. Make no mistake, you are the lifeblood of the club and forever will be.

You were always fantastic to me and I hold that in my heart as I move on.

Thanks for everything,

David Prutton (aka Prutts, aka 'Jesus')
