Jaffa - I apologise for my lack of faith, quite disturbing. Nervous near the end?

Stephen Hunt had a good evening, an assist for Hull City and a goal for Notts County - as they triumph at the DW. Glad I put him in re FF:(

Cheers,
OW

Heh. We're ace. :p

Naturally I'm very pleased with the point, and it was nothing less than deserved. Chelsea looked lacklustre, and didn't step it up until 10-15 minutes before the end by which point we were well dug in. We worked hard, kept calm and got our just rewards.

John Terry was getting a lot of stick, anyone know what that was all about?

:D

Speaking of your footballing travels, XIII – I don't know if you're aware but our home match against Arsenal has been moved to a 5.30pm kick off to accommodate the TV types. I hope this isn't going to scupper your arrangements...

EDIT: Also, Terry picked up a card tonight – I think that may be his fifth which would mean he has a suspension to serve, so he may well be out of the Arsenal match.

Also, apparently Fabregas wants an Arsenal exit come summer...brought on by the Man Utd defeat

Probably true...probably not.
If true, then boy...

It something that's come up a number of times in the Spanish press – whether there's any truth in it remains to be seen, for his part Fabregas has said he's happy at Arsenal but equally he's wanting to win trophies...

Whether it's true or not, expect the promise to acquire his services to be a key part in the Barcelona presidential elections.

To all american football National team fans out there i'm Egyptian and although you beet us in Confederations Cup , but at least you was playing football not like other teams, i think you should watch this short video about Egypt VS Algeria in Angola 2010, you will know what i'm talking about

:apple: Anyway which you good luck in WC :apple:

not a bad reesult in the end.

i noticed keane played for celtic. anyone see it?

He was pretty much as bad as the rest of the Celtic team. Mowbray will be out soon. They go 3rd if Hibs win their game in hand don't they?

Leeds v Spurs tonight.. Exciting...

Betting tips:
All singles.

Fulham -1
Fulham -2
West Brom -1
Leeds
Leeds to qualify during extra time

Celtic away to Kilmarnock looks like a bit of a banker...

Well Keane made his debut last night, and according to my slightly Killie biased colleague who was at the game, was “awful”. So Celtic got beat 1-0 for the first time in years, and Rangers go 10 points clear, which really isn’t what we expected. They have been truly rubbish with a team of aging crocks… but Walter Smith is managing to get results from them.

Frankly, I'd love to see another team break into the top two in Scotland, just as most of us want to see a new team in England break into the top four.

Keane's lack of form is becoming worrying though - he hasn't really been any good since before the Liverpool move, has he?

EDIT: Some maniac set DaMarcus Beasley's car on fire! I hope they catch the scumbag(s) who did it and give 'em a Cantona-esque karate kick to the face.

EDIT 2: Well, Defoe finally started finding the back of the net. Good cup run for Leeds in the end. Chelsea's going to win it anyway.

But then we wouldn't win everything:confused: I think you're right, more competition is needed and I thought this would be the year for it.

Unfortunately in a city polarised in this way this kind of thing happens. It just takes one guy who's been drinking the Buckie. I don't know what area he lives in, but it's probably one of the nicer suburbs where cars don't normally get set on fire! (yes we do have some) The same thing happened to John Hartson after my uncle crashed into his Merc 2 days after he signed for Celtic. Left the damaged car at the side of the road, 2 hours later his golf clubs were gone then it was set on fire. Welcome to Glasgow!

Edit: Found out where he lives, in the posh West End. Not normally a car-on-fire area.

Yes the BBC Scotland main football presenter (who for the life of me I can't remember his name, so apologies to him) was on R5 last night and said that he lived quite near Beasley and it wasn't the sort of thing that happens round there...

He also said he'd made enquiries and no one (police included) has any idea of why it was done/who did it (I think we can make a wild stab ourselves though). I think they said they were on the lookout for a white van.

Speaking of which, any odds from British bookmakers (who'll put up odds on almost anything) on if England team captain John Terry is asked to step down or the time before it happens? :)

Hey! Leave US out of this!

Speaking in my capacity as an American whose national side will face England in the WC, I think that it's in England's best interest to have as much inter-squad turmoil as the Dutch traditionally do, it seems to work well for them right? :D

Capello should institute an inter-squad WAG-swapping regimen to create mental toughness within the team. :p

Bet365 has 5/6 for Terry not having the armband when England play the Usians. Ladbrokes 3/1 on,anyone with large amounts of cash laying around could clean up whatever the outcome by betting one bookie against another.
