Milner is good, but is he £20million good? The rumor is that Lerner is going to give O'Niell some money to spend but that he'll possibly have to sell in order to buy.
I'd argue not, but then again Manchester City are well capable of bidding over the odds to secure the players they want.
We'll wait and see what their next move will be...
Rumors are that Real Madrid will sign Villa's ex-teammate David Silva...the arms (or is it legs) race continues...

David James has (unsuccessfully) put himself up as a candidate to be Pompey's next manager. Shouldn't he be more worried about South Africa? Maybe he can be appointed as his own goalkeeping coach instead.
If I were a Gunners fan I'd be more worried about how he partners with Bendtner, since Van Persie is likely to be hurt for much of the season. Just sayin'.

So that was the biggest trophy in Europe settled for another year. Mourinho = best manager in Europe? Best manager in the world? He hasn't won a World Cup yet, but he's won just about everything else.

In other news, Cesc has told Arsenal (unconfirmed) that he wants to go to Barca this summer. I'm a little bit unsure whether Wenger should try to hold onto a player that loves Arsenal (and Barca a little bit more) but could become a distraction in the future, or just get as much money out of a summer deal as possible. It's obvious Barca wants Cesc something awful, and the feeling is somewhat mutual.
