HOW DO YOU NOT CALL THAT INTERFERENCE???

If the guy is flying down the wing, you can't hook him off the puck. Maybe 20 years ago, but not under the current rules.

Come on.

Ok. Charging. Really? Hitting a guy who has the puck, and is facing you?

Charging.

Fine.

Ok, last post during the game. I need to calm down.

Could this guy get a faster whistle? How many freakin' pucks have to be loose around the Chicago net, and they still stop the play?

Leighton has the puck go flying over his head, and the Hawks get to slash him on the legs as if it's still in play. The puck goes towards Niemi, and they whistle just in case.

Hopefully the Flyers can win this one and make the series more interesting.
 
Holy crap. Watching the Flyers playing 5-9 all night has probably taken years off of my life.

Refs not calling icings, refs not calling trips, hooks, interference. Early whistles, etc.

Man that was stressful.

Haha nah; I'm not really a fan of any particular hockey team these days (I'm from Vancouver but haven't really been a fan of the Canucks since familiar faces left, Bure, Mogilny, Lume, McLean etc).

Just think Chicago's really interesting these playoffs; all that young talent has grown so much since last years playoffs.
 
What would it take for Philly to have a decent goalie for a whole season/post season? It's been 20+ years since the Flyers had a goalie worth a darn. And he was the man.

I left the place that I was watching the game, at 2nd intermission. I couldn't stand the general lack of effort, and the goaltending was just sickening. If I'd watched the whole game, my hour long drive home would have been that much angrier.

The Blackhawks played extremely well, and as far as I saw, made no mistakes again.

Maybe Wednesday the Flyers will play better. Probably not.
 
Wow. Pronger was -5 tonight. I didn't think that would happen after games 3 and 4. The 'Hawks started out hot and the Flyers just couldn't cope with it. The game was won in the first period.

The Flyers almost looked drunk out there at times. They're fast, but not *that* fast. Leighton was so deep on the first goal that the people in the front row had a better shot at the save than he did. Pronger looked like he was just going through the motions. Slowly. It's like they went in with absolutely no plan.

Ugh.

Well the Blackhawks have now played 1 good game and I hope they wrap it up in Philly, especially after hearing what some douchebag fans did to my friends who were at the Philly games.

I used to have NFL tickets, not in Philly, and canceled them because of the fans.

People, not just Philadelphians, do not know how to behave civilly in a crowd any longer. From high school sports, to beer league hockey games, to city league softball, the pros, everything, civility is dead on a large scale.

It sucks that your friends had a bad time. I'd like Philly to get their game 6, especially since we have a forum member working at the games. Game 7 could go either way. But I don't have high hopes. This series has hinged on whether or not Chicago wants it. If they do, they win. If they're indifferent, it gets a little more wide open.
