Kenny will be managing Liverpool. You read it here first. :)

PS. Thank god for the lower Divisions to fill the void of these nonsense internationals. Imps 2-1 Macclesfield.

Columbus lost 2-0 to Chicago. The wheels are coming off badly at the moment. With the playoff system decreasing the value of regular season form, fixture congestion at the end of the season is just killing us. It's annoying to be beaten by rivals Chicago, but even more so given their terrible regular season record. This victory keeps their playoff hopes alive.

No joy in Blackadder Manor these days...hopefully the USA will crush Poland today, to give me something to cheer about for once.

Well, nothing's going to happen until we get new owners. Also, I simply don't think it's fair to fire Hodgson after such a short time at the helm of a club already in serious turmoil. There isn't a manager on earth who could have turned things around under these circumstances.

Meanwhile, it turns out that Queso's Stockport County hold the distinction of having fielded more senior players in their history than any other club – 1,284 in fact.

I mention this because apparently the Hatters are planning on adding each player's unique number to their shirt, pending permission from the League – a similar practice to that used by the England cricket team whose players display their number under the crest.

For those who like to line their Subbuteo men up and discuss tactics, on Friday Scotland played with a 4-4-2 formation switching to 4-6-0 whenever we lost possession of the ball - it didn't work.

Tomorrow when we face Spain at Hampden we are going for a 10-0-0 formation.

This one of De Jong's always baffled me - Alonso could literally have died from that. A kick to the chest like that can kill someone. Firstly, how was it not a red card. Secondly, why was he not retrospectively banned?

De Jong is a violent and dangerous player. And as much as he epitomises the Dirty Leeds myth (;)) there's no place for that anymore.

Still, any excuse for this:

One of my favourite Leeds images.

Unfortunately Barcelona seem to be experiencing this a lot lately and so are only just scraping results. After 15 minutes against Mallorca Barça had 90% possession and I think it ended close to 80% for the entire match. They drew 1-1. Same thing with Rubin Kazan. And Chelsea and Inter (Mourinho) you know about. Its sad when the other team simply doesnt play football.

This is why I hate being a Scotland fan...
We put out a striker against Spain, went two down, drew it back level just to give us hope and then lost a late one. If we put out that team against the Czechs we would have picked up some points.

Anyway that's the end of our Euro campaign for just under a year, quite bizarre having such a big break just when we are building up momentum.

Same ole rubbish from my team so far this season! (Coventry City). It looked hopeful for us for a few weeks but then it often does at the start of the season and then gradually deteriorates as the season progesses.

I'm out in the middle of nowhere, but had a minute to check the 'net and say "hurrah!" the court ruling. Hopefully the appeal process is dealt with swiftly.

Who needs to appeal when you've got a Texas District Court Judge to sign things, who likely doesn't even know much of Liverpool FC or realizes it makes worldwide headlines. Texas???

Anyhow, I reckon Gillet and Hicks have a point. From a purely monetary point of view (theirs) they would have been happy to sell to Bin Laden for £400 million, but such an offer is not "in the club's best interest" and so Henry's bid of £300 million is the one the board and Bank of Scotland goes for.

They have to at least now accept the higher Singapore bid of £320 million or they really will look like they're not selling the club for the most value and Hicks and Gillet have grounds to sue them. As they are indeed doing because they have a record of a £400 million bid that was not even considered by the board.

This should be about selling to the best, not the highest bidder. Hicks and Gillett are really cheesing me off right now. Texas is a well-known legal hellhole, and if Broughton isn't careful he might find himself sentenced to death there in absentia.

Lim's statement that his bid wasn't even responded to is just handing damages claims to Hicks and Gillet on a silver platter. The new owner and current Liverpool board will be facing US court penalties of staggering amounts after this farce. I'm starting to agree with Hicks and Gillett, this board and their contacts at the RBS are running some sort of swindle and have been for some time. It'll ruin Liverpool. How is that in the best interests of the club?

It's "in the best interest of the club" to consider all offers. They're not even considering the other offers. Just one, Henry's. Ignoring all other offers in favour of one shows vested interest to me on behalf of those making the decisions. What are their percentage cuts or deals promised that they feel so free to ignore a £20 million hiigher bid as well as an extra £40 million January transfer kitty to try and salvage this season? That's £60 million extra right there that they just ignored as if it were a soiled tissue. Why? How do they know it wasn't the best bid if they didn't even respond to it?

That's right, the highest bid isn't necessarily in the clubs best interest

Legally that's irrelevant. The US court is absolutly right about this in my opinion. The only interests at stake right now are the owners and creditors - Hicks and Gillet and the Bank of Scotland - the creditors to get the full amount owed to them repaid and the owners to get as much as they can for it.

As far as I can see, the creditors have no mandate to rip the owners off by selling the company for less than it is worth on the open market just because they think it'll be better for the company. That's like your bank manager selling your house to his sister for 30% less than it's worth when you default on your mortgage so you're still stuck with big debt and no house, because he thinks she'll look after it better than some guy from Singapore willing to pay full price. Nope, can't do that, take your bank manager and his sister to court for conspiracy and sue. But that's exactly what the RBS and Liverpool board is doing..

You can forget the Texan problem BBC Sport thankfully.

The whole sorry saga has been quite depressing actually and people have short memories; I have no love whatsoever for H&G, but they have put some money into the club and laid out to buy players (the fact Rafa bought some real crap is beside the point) but their sale price was simply unrealistic.

Sad really :(

Lim's offer was £20 million more. If Henry really wanted Liverpool, he could have gotten into a bidding war with Lim (who was also prepared to spend another £40 million in January on transfers) so it could easily have gone to H&G's asking price of £380-400 million. In that scenario, realistic in my book.

So that leaves H&G out of pocket a guaranteed £20 million to a possible £100+ million because of this backroom no-bids deal with Henry. So I'd say yeah I agree with them, they've been swindled by the RBS and Liverpool's board to the tune of tens to hundreds of millions of pounds. Especially considering Henry's people saying he already considers himself the new owner as he went to meet the Liverpool board while Lim wasn't even invited. The sale hasn't even been done, *can't* be done legally before Friday, yet it has *already* been done, nudge nudge wink wink, despite another higher legitimate bid on the table.

H&G are getting royally screwed.

Anyway, what's all his talk about Hodgson and the Liverpool players needing time and a chnage of ownership to play properly? WTF? How much are they getting paid a week? More than my house is worth? Each. Sack the lot of them, lazy useless feckers using any excuse to put in a penny's worth of work for a pound's worth of pay. And Hodgson is useless anyway. If he can't make these players play now, how's he going to make them play better next week? What, suddenly they'll *want* to play better next week? So what's Hodgson being paid for if that's what he's waiting for? Heck, I can manage Liverpool if that's all it takes to manage this team of overpaid divas, just sit on my arse and wait for next week. Sack them all just for that. Argh, I'm ranting.
