It looked like Gudjohnsen, but it was just the highlights so I couldn't get a decent view.

The goal.com match report lists him as #7, while Sidwell is #4. I'll be buggered if I can see a #22 anywhere on their list, but there was definitely a #22 on the pitch who looked like Eidur to me.

No joy for Man City against Aris in Greece. I imagine they'll win the return leg, but not a good result for a team that needs confidence above all else.

I'v said it before, if I'd spent £1billion on Man City just to eke out a 0-0 draw in Greece, I'd be wanting my money back.

Ouch, Crouch. They really needed that away goal. Against the run of play too, lucky baskets.

Good ol' Crouchy. Always rated the big man (though to be fair Lennon did 80% of the legwork on that one).

I can here the phrase "great touch for a big man" all the way from here. :)

WTF is up with Gattuso? Headbutting Joe Jordan of all people. His yellow card rules him out of the return leg anyway.

I wonder what Jordan said or did at half time. Gattuso was fired up after the break so something must have triggered it.

Gattuso is a hothead, so it could have been anything...to me he's the quintessential Italian player in all his qualities. ;)

Big win for Spurs though - they kept a clean sheet, got the away goal and play the second leg at home, probably with less injury problems.

Reading the reports, Jordan squared up to him during a set-to not long after the Flamini tackle on Corluka.

I'd have to side with hothead pillock Gattuso on this one. A non-player coming onto the pitch to square up to a player and get in his face, the player can do what he likes to him. At any rate, Jordan should be banned from the sidelines for the rest of the season.

If Jordan did indeed enter the pitch, and one of the officials saw it, he will surely get a ban/fine or both.

Still, Gattuso doesn't need much of a reason to start a fight. :D

Jordan might be 60-odd, but he'd have Gattuso for breakfast.

I thought that the incident during the match took place on the sideline – not on the pitch – but there is no justification whatsoever for shoving Jordan, grabbing him by the throat and then shoving your head into his face in one of those 'there's contact but it's not quite a headbutt' actions that footballers seem to love so much. Had someone done any one of those things to Gattuso, you can be sure he'd still be rolling around on the grass.

It's not like Gattuso could knock Joe's front teeth out anyway. :D

Interestingly, he was a Milan player himself once upon a time.

PS. Don't they have areas marked for these games which the staff have to stay within? If he stepped out of the area to get in an opposing player's face, he'd be in trouble I reckon.

Gotta hand it to Harry though. The difference a manager makes. Spurs were stone motherless last when they sacked Ramos and brought him in. He gets them straight into the Champions League and now they've beaten the Serie A leaders at the San Siro. I don't think Spurs fans have had it so good for as long as I can recall.

Indeed, England's next manager has raised Spurs' stock considerably with his European adventure. On a day when Man City can only manage a 0-0 draw against a Greek SuperLeague side, Spurs only go and beat a top Italian team.

Joe Jordan looks like a rough fellow - not the best strike rate in his playing years - though I certainly wouldn't say that to his face. He's no stranger to the head-butt I'll reckon.

Gattuso has something of a hard man reputation but compared with players like Dean Windass he's a little ankle-biter.
