The Vyper looks great, but for all those that have it, or similar cases, don't you worry about scratching your MBP when it's outsides the case? Or don't you really see that as an issue?

I'm thinking either the Vyper, or the Incase hardcase which will provide some protection all the time.

I have a Wrapsol skin on my mbp for when it's outside the Vyper so I'm set against scratches.

Of course your MBP can be scratched when it's outside the case. That's true for ANY case. That's why we buy cases: for protection. In evaluating cases, what matters is whether it can be scratched or damaged INSIDE the case, not outside.
But Amazon customers comments complain about zippers jamming or being fragile.
The zippers on the Vyper are not fragile, do not jam, are quite well made, and do not come in contact with your MBP when it's secured in the case. You can always find someone who complains, either because they got a defective product, or because they don't use it or care for it properly. The overwhelming public opinion among booq Vyper owners is nothing but positive.

I bought the Incase at Best Buy today for my new MBP 13. It says its for the White 13" Macbook, they had other colors that said MacBook Pro. It seems to fit, maybe a little snug. But I figure the Pro is a little smaller than the white MB, so it should be ok.....

Figure I'll post here rather than start a new thread...

Got my 15" uMBP about a week ago... love it, but I'm super worried about scratches as well as screen damage due to pressure in from textbooks in my backpack (I had this issue with my early-2008 macbook).

I had a 13" incase sleeve on my black macbook, and I really like it, but I don't like the price. My girlfriend got it for me for ~$15 when she worked for Best Buy instead of the $40 it sells for now. She has a be.ez sleeve... she really likes it, and it's gotten good reviews on Amazon... anyone have experience with it? It's made of an interesting memory-foam material, and it's $30.

I do like the idea of having a hard shell case (i.e., the Vyper). How much bigger is it than a neoprene sleeve?

Any other suggestions?

The Vyper fits the MBP snugly, so it's not much, if any, bigger than a neoprene sleeve. It offers much better protection, IMO, since it's a harder shell... not as easy to bend or puncture.

Ordered Booq Taipan Skin

I got the Vyper for my 17" MBP and it's GREAT! I can try and take some pics tonight of it.

Booq Vyper XS2

That's for the MB Air

MB (and possibly MBP 13") is Booq Vyper XS3
MBP unibody 15" is Booq Vyper M3
MBP 17" is Booq Vyper XL2
MBP Non-Unibody 15" is Booq Vyper M2

I just got the Vyper, but it looks good!

Ahaha, yep.. I meant to say the XS3. :) Thanks.

The Vyper is something I was just looking for! A case that opens all the way to the spine. However, is a nylon case really worth $50? I might as well go for the Neoprene Case from Incase right? Or better yet, I could buy a hard shell case for the same price. To those that have it, please tell me I'm wrong.

lol, yeah, as another forumer pointed out, its not $81.99. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I've got to say it's brilliant. It's a soft case compared to vyper being a hard case. But it offers more than enough protection. Normally will just dump this in my bad or carry it like a file.

my personal fav is memoggy sleeves
They are not industrial like incase or other generic brands and not similar to low quality hand made sleeves that you can buy from everywhere.

Vyper XS3

If i get the Vyper XS3 and drop it will my macbook pro break i want a hard sleeve that if i drop it my macbook will be safe.

I'm looking for a nice looking sleeve, but I don't quite like the design of memoggy, I've looked @ foof and I like their designs, but I was wondering, do you know of any other places that makes sleeves similar in concept to memoggy/foof?

Good luck to you all paying $30+ for sleeve.

At my university, they sell it for $9 high quality sleeves. (Canada)

I'm happy that is so low. Other stores are like $25+.
