Hopefully it's not the arm he uses to drink beer with! :p

I agree that the Cardinals will probably win tonight and I hope they do. It's been a long time since we've had a winner-take-all game. But there have been many Game 6s that were eked out in an unlikely way. The Cardinals could play better but still lose a close game.

I actually don't care if Game 6 is close as long as we have a Game 7. There have been many Game 6s that were blowouts to set up a Game 7. (The 2001 World Series, for example.) It would be great if Game 7 were close too, but I'll settle for just having one at this point.

Both teams have fought for this, and maybe the Cardinals mostly of late, but it would be a shame to see Texas, pretty good all year, to lose this series.

They appear to be a team on a mission, but sometimes that gets in the way as we saw with the Yankees at times. Philly seems to be the team that will be on a perpetual mission as long as they have their deep pitching staff. Texas just needs to keep on doing what they have been doing, which may be boring, but it's to keep the other team to low points. Just strike out the batters and that keeps the pressure off of the Texas hitters to come up big.

So much attention will be on how big the Cardinals could hit, but that has not been the dominant factor in this series overall. The best thing for Texas is to keep this a very boring nine innings tonight. The Cardinals have nothing to lose going for it all so Texas has to be very smart on their pitching. When it comes time to use a reliever, just do it and don't overwork the starter.

I don't particularly care about either team, but since Texas has never won it, and the Cardinals did only five years ago, I'd rather see Texas pull it off. In a Game 7, of course.

Insane.

This season couldn't have ended better. It's anybody's guess as to who will take game 7. I want Texas but would also be happy for St. Louis after tonight's spirited fight for the ages. These are professionals and tomorrow is a one game season and they will put all baggage behind them and play, most likely, to their potential.

If both teams play their best without errors like they have most of the season, then it will go to Texas with their pitching. I just have not seen hitters have a great game and then casually repeat that type of performance like tonight whether it's regular season or postseason. Even though Texas lost tonight, they batted in 9 runs which is a lot more than St. Louis is used to.

Texas 3, St. Louis 2 tomorrow in a pitching battle.

sorry to be rude to cardinal fans, but i really want the rangers to win tonight, because i have a family full of rangers fans, and it was frustrating to see one strike away and they blew it. plus, if the cardinals win, it will be a bit of a blow to my braves fan ego, knowing that the cardinals could have never made the playoffs if the braves did their job back in september and we may never hear the end of this collapse.

i think momentum of game 7 will be decided in the first few innings, not based on last night's game. someone will be taking a big lead early. we'll see if the rangers can bounce back from last night and if the cardinals have anything left after the comeback.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. People are much more obsessed with the Red Sox' choke-job than the Braves'.

And if the Cardinals win Game 7, then everyone (except Braves' fans) will remember the Game 6 comeback over everything else.

we all learned a valuable lesson this season: "Nothing is set in stone until it actually happens. Don't assume things earlier than they occur."

very painful lesson for me. there's always next year. hooray.:(
