Don't wait..

I'm reading this bit:

Customers who purchase a qualifying Mac between June 6, 2011 and the date when Lion is available in the Mac App Store will have 30 days from Lion’s official release date to make a request.

Have you applied for one? If so, who too & what did they say?

I just assumed that, once the release date is known you will be able to apply from then and not before? Really don't know to be honest.

Tried at first, but that was when there was issues.

I ordered on the 4th of May at 8:37AM (+10 GMT).

  • 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
  • 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
  • 2TB Serial ATA Drive+256GB SSD
  • AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
  • MAGIC TRACKPAD
  • Apple Num Kybd

Thanks. Mine has the exact same build, but I've ordered the mouse and wireless keyboard. Ordered 10:00am 6th May. My credit card has not been charged but available credit has dropped. Hopefully that's a sign! Shipment tracker still says shipping 21/06 for delivery 29/6. I'll be watching for your updates.

Woke up this morning to a tracking number!!!
Should arrive 6/14 vice 6/23 :D

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (iPhone; Opera Mini/6.13548/24.871; U; en) Presto/2.5.25 Version/10.54)

I've seen few momemts ago that the delivery date changed to 16 June (was 21 June)

Unfortunately, no change for me.

I ordered on May 25th,

Ships on July 8th,

Delivered on July 14th. (I am in San Francisco.)

By the way, it's helpful if we can see where you are (eg. Wales, Denmark, USA, etc. when posting a new delivery date.)

Thanks,

---Berus

Mine just changed some time in the last few hours to "prepared for shipment." It still shows that it is shipping on June 20, with delivery by the 24th, but I assume that will change. I am in PA, in the US. I ordered on May 6.

Took mine about 24 hours to move from "Prepared for Shipment" to "Shipped".

Just got yet another weird and wonderful update that means diddly squat to me!

The one advantage is that I now have a tracking number OR NOT! It simply says:

UK DISTRIBUTION CENTRE

So now my iMac's in the UK?

I love this communication process ... it keeps me entertained :D

I'm curious about this too. Someone earlier posted that ALL of us would be receiving an e-mail with an offer to download Lion for free. Can anyone confirm this, or do we each have to individually call up and ask for it?

I ordered May 9 in US and it still say Not Yet Shipped. Still saying Shipping June 21 Delivers June 24th.

As for Lion, I called up Apple a few days ago and was told since I haven't paid for my iMac yet, that I was eligible for free upgrade of Lion. He notated it on my order number, but had no information about how it would be handled. He told me to call once Lion was released. He also credited back a good amount of money to my CC because of the long wait and also because Apple changed my (next day business delivery, which I got for free) to a 3 Day delivery.

It always helps when you call, to be polite and give the representative some respect. It really pays.

Omg omg omg!

:eek::eek:

I,ve got a tracking number with UPS and it says ....

In Tamworth, UK, delivery ....

MONDAY!

:eek::eek:

You wouldn't believe how much I hope it's true :D

Oddly, the Apple store is still showing 4-6 weeks for 27" SSD configurations; I expected that would drop like the 21.5" ones did after the first ones started to ship.

I ordered May 9th, mine is shipping to Alaska, and although there is no update on Apple's website, it has charged the complete amount on my card.

I'm expecting it to ship any time, either today or on Monday.

Good signs for all!

I lied! It's now 'prepared for shipment'!!!

I won't be stocking it like you guys. Honestly, that's a little funny and crazy. Entertaining!

I'm excited nonetheless.
