Sometime in the last half hour or so.

Shipping to San Francisco, ordered the morning of May 9.

Central Cal here and ordered evening of the 9th - still "Not yet shipped." Ah well, It looks like things are moving along a decent clip now, I'm sure mine will come along soon.

Can't wait!

Edit: just changed to prepared for shipment. Now just waiting for actual shipment.

Today I had the disk enclosure die (PSU died 2 weeks ago or so). iMac ETA still 3 weeks. Ordered a new FW800 enclosure for use of the next 3 weeks.

Visibility improving

Pick up date 14 Jun 2011*

Now, I'm in the shipment tracker club as well:cool:

TNT is apparently handling the European leg of the delivery. Not sure what exactly is meant by pick-up-date, nor why status lists 'Exception' in the relevant field.

But I now have a number and a website to feed!

And it will only get better :D

No change

I ordered May 3 and still no change with estimated shipping of 17/6 and arriving 22/6. My credit card has been pre-authorised for about a week, but no change! I'm in Australia.

As I was typing the above, my order changed to "prepared for shipment"! (although the dates have remained the same).

Can't wait to see some May 12 or later orders start shipping. I leave for a trip overseas on June 18, so if mine manages to arrive by next Friday, at least I won't have to worry about getting someone else to sign and hold onto it!

Wow, I can't believe how big this thread is becoming, and so fast as we'll. Too Many egger people waiting on their Apple's to arrive instead of happy ones too busy to post because they are playing on their new toys :D

I too have to be one egger beaver, cause even though I have just read that it has taken roughly 24 hrs to go from being prepared to actually shipping. I can't stop checking every few minutes, and staying up that little bit more each night. And now not being able to resist posting about it, :D

Seeing some of the tracking and see what seems to be the unit being held up for long periods at a time at airports / hubs when making it's way to places like the UK, is just the norm. And that its due to the route that has been taken with or the sheer volume of traffic, or even a customs thing. Because he in Australia, when I have had parcels shipped from the US or Asia, it has always been fairly quick. So I am hoping when my iMac, i Am hopping for in not to take as long.

PS, where is a praying smilly when you need it :D

I'm in the same boat, with my delivery date set to be the 21st, and i'm set to head out for just over a week on the 16th. Last night mine went to prepared, so I still have hope.

Good stuff, chances are our imac's will end up on the same flight. Mine is still showing ship as the 16th, delivery as the 21st. But I am wishing for a delivery on or before mid week.

I just looked at the apple store, and I can't believe that the 27" with ssd is still 4-6 weeks. They must have a huge back order to fill.

Yeah - it's all a bit crazy. I live in Noosa, so things usually take an extra day (maybe why 22/6 compared to your 21/6), but here's hoping they're a touch early!

Arrived in Alaska at 7:15pm!

Ordered May 3 9:15 am
Prepare to ship : am hours of June 10
Shipped and left Shanghai June 10
First stop : Alaska June 10

Destination : Ontario Canada

Moving FAST!!! Via UPS

Edit : and now departed from Alaska!! My iMac has rockets attached!!

As expected. Still doesn't explain the delay compared to the 21.5".

By "they" he means Macworld, not Apple. They didn't get an SSD system delivered, they just performed the surgery themselves.

I didn't notice that in the article, and given the timing, with all of our orders starting to ship, I just assumed Macworld had gotten ahold of one.

Macworld got their 27" + i7 + SSD, and it's apparently the fastest Mac they've ever tested: http://www.macworld.com/article/160469/2011/06/ultimateimac2011.html#lsrc.rss_main

Looks like they actually just put the SSD from the 21" in the 27. Still blazing though!!!

Yep :) Looks like not a 27 BTO, but a 27 BBM (Built By Macworld :D)

We took our previously tested BTO 27-inch 3.4GHz Core i7 iMac with a 1TB hard drive and 4GB of RAM ($2199) and popped in the SSD
from our BTO 21.5-inch 2.7GHz Core i5 iMac

I ordered May 6 and my order also changed to 'prepared for shipment' last night. I'm in Melbourne Australia so it looks like a batch of Australian 27” BTO iMacs are getting ready to board the plane!

Finally "Prepared to ship" to Central New York in the last two hours! I wonder if it is not the software that people are having installed that determines the order... my computer seems to be shipping later than a lot of others and they only thing I can think that might have caused that is I am having Logic Express installed. Could it be because that is a lower demand product that it was completed later?

Yes!! I am now 'prepared fo shipment' and I ordered 14th May (coming to UK), so it looks some of the later orders are starting to ship.

My iMac is now in Switzerland. Unfortunatly no delivery on weekends and monday is a public holiday. Tuesday it will be then.

When did you order!? Sorry, not to single you out, but it's been driving me bonkers when random people pop in to say "mine shipped!" without any helpful details. Date ordered and location would be nice, at a minimum...

Interesting to see a EU person who ordered May 14 has shipped... Definitely seems like they're giving priority to EU orders. I ordered May 12 and no love here (US).
