Hmm... Is it time for me to become miffed?
iMac 27" with SSD ordered on May 25th. (Note that I am in San Francisco.)
Current delivery date (unchanged over the past week) JULY 14th.
When I ordered, it said 4-6 weeks. Note that the interval from May 25th to July 14th is 50 days. That's 7 weeks and 1 day.
OK... No problem. I can deal with that. There's a delay. I understand. Like all of you, I've been observing the delay and fluctuations. I was ready to go the distance.
However... Today, just for kicks, I went to the Apple store online and spec'd an iMac exactly like the one I have on order. When I clicked to see how long delivery would take, it said:
1-2 weeks.
Today's the 11th. From now until July 14th is nearly 5 weeks.
...
I realize there's a chance my shipment could be moved up... but still...
What do you guys think? Should I call Apple and ask if I should cancel and re-order? That seems ridiculous to me. Nevertheless, one never knows how things like this work with an operation the size of Apple. I suppose it couldn't hurt to call and ask. Suggestions?
Thanks,
---Berus
