Just got my shipment notice moments ago. Ordered May 6 at about 5 pm Eastern (U.S.). Originally, the site said it would ship on June 27, then a few days ago that was changed to June 20. Then around this time yesterday my status was changed to prepared for shipment. I'm in southeastern Pennsylvania, USA. I have the SSD + 1GB hard drive, 27 inch, 2 GB video.

For those trying to calculate shipping speed, I have normal delivery and the above order is scheduled for delivery before 10:30 a.m. on June 15.

Shipped!

Order 13th May
Shipped today
Delivery Due date 15th June
Which is 9 days early. :)

Anyone know if things may deliver Monday instead of Tuesday? I don't usually get large packages like this and don't deal much with Fed Ex either. It's 2-3 day shipping and it's due to be delivered BY Tuesday June 14th. However, the package is already in Alaska, and I'm in California. I imagine it'll be in California by the end of the weekend, but I wonder if they prioritize shipments based on their drop dead delivery date and even though it's nearby they still won't deliver until Tuesday.

I mean waiting one more day won't kill me, but I'm just curious if it's a possibility.

Thanks, guys :D

Don't freak out when your iMac's next stop is Memphis.
My late 2009 i7 BTO iMac took the same route when I lived in Seattle.
China, Alaska (customs), Memphis => out to other cities.

Look at it this way: Your IMAC is a world traveler. In many cases your Imac will have been to more places than you have.

I just checked the UK apple store and the shipping times on SSD 27 iMacs has changed to 1-2 weeks :D

alaska customs wont mean its actually been to alaska

Shipping times dropped

The US store is also showing a drop in shipping times to 1-2 weeks. Hopefully this means ship dates will move up quickly.
