Oct 27 Norman Ok 1st time in 50 years go Sooners

I think ND is a top ten team at the moment, but they haven't really played anybody good this year yet. At least in my opinion.

They had a close win against bad Michigan, and they had a decent win against Michigan State, and they beat Purdue by 3. Navy and Miami wins aren't really a big deal since neither team is decent at all.

I don't think their defense is that great yet. They'll lose to Stanford or Oklahoma I think before they lose to USC too.

I would like to see the SEC teams knock each other off too. But I think one of them will go undefeated. Either Alabama or South Carolina, and they'll be playing either WVU or Oregon for the national championship. I hope Oregon doesn't slip up because I think they are for real.

This is one game all Sooner fans have waiting for a long time.OU is not as strong as they should be at this time, this is the only game that really matters on the schedule for many.

The game against ND is the only game that matters for OU fans? That seems sort of unlikely. Why do you think so?

At this point, I agree, it is one of the last major games. If OU plays like they did Saturday, they have a great shot at winning out. But if they play as bad as they did that K-State game it's going to be rough.

Wow, #12 in the BCS. It's been a long time since that happened for us. Sadly, I think it's all going to come to a screeching halt in T-Town next week, but it's been a fun ride so far. I think we can still manage 9-10 wins this season.

Sorry, man. ###

I'm mostly bummed about our defense. I went into this season concerned about whether our offense would be balanced enough to be effective, not thinking our defense would be a liability as well. It'll be interesting to see how the team responds after such an embarrassment.

I get my OU lanyard tomorrow night. Ugh!

Yeah I don't think anyone expected the defense to be as bad as they've been. Doesn't get any easier this week, either.

Just for the record, I NEVER root for the Gators... ever... period
I want the Cocks to lose too, but I'd rather them lose to the Vols later
I hate the Gators™
That said, I think the Cocks lose today in the Swamp
That would set up the Dawg-Gator game next week as essentially the game for the East (barring some crazy loss by someone)

Bama shouldn't have any problems with the Vols
The Bama D is too good, but the Vol offense is explosive

The LSU/A&M game should be interesting
Let's see how good Johnny Football really is

KState and WVU should also be interesting as well
I'd like to see KState expose WVU again this week

Will be fun to see Auburn lose at Vanderbilt :D
The Tigers are dreadful, and this is the Chizik team we all expected sans Newton

Dawgs should roll over Kentucky
Should is the operative word
Lexington at night has always troubled the Dawgs
But the Wildcats are a really, really bad team

That makes two of us. Never ever pull for the gators. Or for that matter any team in orange! :D

Roll Tide!

Geez... Auburn loses again - to Vandy.

I'm a bit more nervous about Bama this week, mostly because of injuries. AJ's apparently going to play with a knee brace, though his teammates say he's fine. And even though the Vols haven't beaten Alabama since 2006, their game in 2009 was a nail biter - it took two blocked field goals to win.

RTR!

Dawgs looked flat again against Kentucky :(
How do you come off a bye week, get handed your own destiny again and play uninspired football?

Very disappointed in the defense and special teams
Missed yet another PAT, and we can't seem to catch a punt

I have seen nothing that gives me confidence for the Florida game
Dawgs could go 10-2 again and lose the only 2 games that matter

What has happened to the defense?
Almost all starters returned from last year's stout defense
Inexplicable
Yes, there have been some suspensions and injuries, but this is unacceptable

My biggest issue is the lack of effort, passion, hunger, desire, etc.

Yes, Murray had a record setting night
But we had NO running game, what happened to Gurshall?

I see the Dawgs getting blown out by the Gators
And that is just unacceptable
********

Glad to see WVU getting exposed
All of that Geno Smith and BCS talk has disappeared

I just don't get why so many people hate UF.

I hate them because I'm a Vol fan first and foremost. I'm actually hoping the Gators and Muschamp have to meet Saban in the SECC. Another reason is the love of Tebow. Gator fans that I know are still talking about him when football conversation comes up. Florida fans think and say that he is the greatest college football player ever, when in fact he is not. Hell, a player better than him played at Auburn the very next year he left. Those reasons, and the fact that the Gators have the most obnoxious fans in the league is the reason most people can't stand them.

"I want someone else to beat them because we can't"

So classic.

Also, as a non-SEC fan, the height of Florida's modern excellence coincides with the height of Urban Meyer's douchebaggery. Glad he got humbled a bit by his own mortality and a few sub-par seasons. Now we're going to have to deal with him in the Big Ten. Oh joy.

Tebow and Meyer - the greatest 1-2 hate combo in CFB.

The game against ND is the only game that matters for OU fans? That seems sort of unlikely. Why do you think so?

I might have put too much emphasis on the ND Game, it is a big game, but I have never been a ND fan.Their team name " the fighting Irish " has always been offensive to me. Their an independent who can pick and choose as they like.

I think the Ags have found themselves a good coach.

I certainly think so. I've been a big fan of Sumlin's ever since he was our OC back in 2002 and was very disappointed he wasn't retained when RC Slocum was fired and was even more disappointed when we hired Sherman instead of Sumlin back in 2008. I really thought we'd missed out on the chance to ever get him back to Aggieland and was just ecstatic when things fell into place like they did.

I also love the way Kliff Kingsbury (our OC) calls the game. I'd like to see more power running in short yardage situations but I'm not sure he thinks we're there yet. We have a very good O-line but they have never been great at short yardage stuff, even in the previous system.

As for the LSU game, I felt like we gave one away. Their defense is certainly great but we moved the ball against them pretty well and it was more our mistakes than their play that hampered us. Four turnovers converted into 21 points for them, and only one of those was truly "forced" by the defense. We also missed two FGs and an extra point and had a long TD pass called back because of a bonehead (and ultimately unnecessary) blocking penalty.

Still, the future is bright. A&M is not at the top of the SEC, for certain, but the notion that we can't compete in this league is certainly out the window. We should beat Auburn by 40 this week. Chizik may get fired by halftime.

I suppose you love the Tide? Come on now....... it doesn't help you had that guy from the Jets play for your team! :D

Roll Tide...

No I dont hate the Tide.....And people who find Tebow hateable have something wrong themselves. TO is hateable. Ochocinco is hateable. Mike Vick is hateable. Someone like Tim who does so much for the world, IMO is nowhere close to hateable.

Why is TO hateable?
Why is Chad Johnson?

Tebow advocates for groups that harm others much more than TO, chad johnson and even Vick
