Sorry to say this, but Chrome has problems on and off.
If you have the auto-update feature on (default i think) then sometimes it updates and suddenly there are crashes, then updates again and it stops, etc..
Chrome causes my 2 macs to slowww down even with 1-3 tab(s) open. My recommendation just switch to Safari and stick with it.
Sure it doesn't have the nice features that Chrome has but it has been running rock solid for me.
With Chrome everything just slowed down and got un-responsive.
So yes, it's not the new Air, it's just Chrome. Some people get it, some people dont. I have no idea why, so i just gave up .
Apple are responsible for making an OS that won't fall over if an application goes rogue.
Windows would not have crashed, poor coding/design on Apple's part.
To bring windows down like this, it would need to be a driver bug, so perhaps there is something wrong in Apple's drivers for something new in the 2012 range?
The kernel panic log seems to point to a driver bug, which Chrome is triggering. It might be related to Chrome's flash implementation or its own text rendering routines.
A motivated and knowledgeable developer can write applications to bring down any operating system.
