Please, find and tell me....I am very curious.... ;)

I then suggest you do some googling yourself. Here's the regulation for the US:

"“A product that includes foreign components may be called ‘Assembled in USA’ without qualification when its principal assembly takes place in the U.S. and the assembly is substantial. For the ‘assembly’ claim to be valid, the product’s last ‘substantial transformation’ also should have occurred in the U.S.”
Example: A lawn mower, composed of all domestic parts except for the cable sheathing, flywheel, wheel rims and air filter (15 to 20 percent foreign content) is assembled in the U.S. An “Assembled in USA” claim is appropriate.
Example: All the major components of a computer, including the motherboard and hard drive, are imported. The computer’s components then are put together in a simple “screwdriver” operation in the U.S., are not substantially transformed under the Customs Standard, and must be marked with a foreign country of origin. An “Assembled in U.S.” claim without further qualification is deceptive.

Mmm so how would Boeing quality for "Assembled in The US" The last time I looked the vast majority of aircraft parts are manufactured around the world.

Just a thought :)

I sincerely hope you're joking. Paper, silk, writing, gunpowder, bronze, the abacus, all invented in China long before Europe, or America. Just because we now think of them as the world's workshop, pumping out every consumer product for little money in appalling conditions, don't discount an entire nation's history and innovation. They have been designing original ideas long before the western world.

They had original ideas long before the western world.... and stopped having original ideas long after. Lately we have what, "Coby", "JWin"?

I think it hinges on that "substantial transformation" thing. I guess, Boeing does qualify here :)

I ordered two BTO iMacs (Haswells, high end 21.5" and 27". 21.5" w/ 3.1GHz i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD. 27" with 3.5GHz i7, 32GB RAM, 4GB GTX780 and 512GB SSD). Both of them were shipped from Shanghai in China, but that's probably because I had them shipped to my residence in Malaysia. Both also have serials starting with C (indicating that it's made in China).

I guess if you live in Europe, it's assembled in Ireland, and if you live in the States, then it's assembled in the USA.

Can confirm, having seen their assembly line operations (a fun tour if you're ever visiting Seattle and want to get out of the rain).
