blah blah blah scherzer verlander blah blah
All we keep hearing about is those two guys and how great they are.
Nobody wants to give any credit to Lester or Buchholz. Let's not forget Buchholz was the best pitcher in the league for the first 2 months of the season until he "slept wrong". But as long as he slept the right way, he's just as good as Scherzer.
I loved seeing everybody poo poo the Giants in 2012 WS bringing in over the hill Barry Zito to go against the great Verlander. It helped to get out ahead big, especially with "the Panda" home runs.
I hope Boston does this (I will go to MLB site next as I just got home but somebody told me it's second inning 0-0) and hits a home run(s) and few good runs of singles to get out early in first four innings. A good padding against the pitching pair left from Detroit would be at least three points.
It's not the type of game, against those two, where you can rely on doing anything in the 5th inning or later. Detroit is one of those cockroach teams (over time with many games under them with same people) so you especially have to knock them down early. Don't try and do small ball against those pitchers. If Detroit wins, they are clearly in the driver's seat. Take advantage of Detroit's Fielder not being the regular big hitter Fielder. Basically, kill the Tigers now and kill them early! (now onto MLB site)

.
Your pitchers are good, a lot like SF boys, and you can win. What Detroit has, and the hype is well deserved, are two hitmen on the mound. Their Ks and ERA ain't bad and if I had to have any two guys with 1-2 punch it would be those two. There are lots of teams with pitchers
almost as good as them as the guys you mentioned on Boston, Cain and Bumgarner from my team, and many others. I like your closer Koji and he may very well be the last guy to throw the ball this year.
As for your pitcher who slept wrong, did he do so in the same way as A-Rod (supposedly with Madonna)?
UPDATE: see ya soon Stl!!
