I think if Manning can't win the big games, he should work at a convenience store instead.

Super Bowl? Rematch, basically.

But Manning knows football, is the sport's class act, and having the long view on the sport I say my money is on him to repeat but this time take down Seattle but he shouldn't give away his secrets to the press.

With the latest concussion he received against the Texans, they also could have been hedging their bets that he wasn't going to be healthy enough to start the season.

Being forced to sit for 4 games will probably help him in the long run, but with so many concussions in the last year, he may be one more away from having to shut it down anyway.

I don't think that's going to help at all lol, he just had a whole off-season off and he got concussed before the real games even started.

Any thoughts on Green Bay at Seattle tonight ?

Green Bay seems to be back in almost full health. That plus the addition of peppers at LB makes me think they're gonna beat Seattle.

The Packers played okay for one half, then eventually the noise at CenturyLink Field--and Marshawn Lynch--finally did them in. Small wonder why NBC or ESPN didn't want to broadcast a game from this stadium--very few teams have a chance to win here.

Seattle didn't lose anything over the long break. They will be a pain again for the Niners and the rest of the NFL. They have shown they can shut down guys like Manning (best season), Rodgers (best career), and Kaepernick.

Yep, Seattle looked pretty dominant. The Packers couldn't get the run game going against the Seattle D and their passing game wasn't consistent enough to keep up. Obviously, having to start a rookie center hurt them, but despite that their defense couldn't stop the Seahawks. Seattle definitely has a good chance of going back to the big game.

Either Seattle is that good again, or Green Bay is that bad which made Seattle look so good. I vote that Seattle is that good - scary good.

As much as I dislike Seattle their defense looked really good last night. The one thing I don't get is why would you waste Sherman's talent by keeping him on one side of the field..... Teams are just going to put their 3rd string Receiver on that side all game like the Packers did last night. Now the good thing about that is that you are pretty much giving an offense only half the field and the middle to work with..... But on the other hand teams can gameplan for that...... I guess it works because they have good talent on the other side as well.... I just feel that it's a little bit of a waste to have someone with sherman's talent and he will only get 2 or 3 passes in his direction a game as teams plan around their scheme

That's not true. Google Buffalo Bills TV blackout and you'll see several instances where the owner or local business bought up tickets to stop the blackout. Makes sense as they have been shedding population for 2 decades now.

exactly why it is imperative that they do not leave

Yes. However it always have been known that the Buffalo Bills constantly sellout every home game, constantly.

I wish they'd move to LA already.

Well I was kind of worried about the Packers with most of their team healthy and all but after watching the game last night I'm on more of a positive note than I was before.

With that.

Is this being reported? I haven't heard it yet. He's a big part of their game plan this year it would really hurt if he loses major time.

He was also super hyped as a fantasy player. There are a lot of owners pretty nervous right now.

I read somewhere he has to sit at least 10 days, so let's hope he gets well soon and only has to miss 1 game at the most.

Wow that was quite the week 1. Man did I miss football! :D

So many crazy finishes, upsets, drama. I was glued to my couch from 1pm to midnight yesterday lol. 2 screens going with one running the redzone channel.... If you are in to the sport there is really nothing better on TV, this is the why the league is making money hand over fist.

I can't believe the Patriots, man that game was two games in one. I have to hand it to the dolphins they never gave up and clawed their way back.

Need to give a little love to the Falcons
Coming off a dismal 4-12 season taking on their bitter rivals who most pick to win the NFC South and contend for the SB

Ryan outplayed Brees with a career game and the defense came up with the big turnover in OT

JJ Watt was an absolute monster yesterday. RGIII didn't stand a chance. Good start for Houston.

The Bears are bad when Cutler makes mistakes. They have no defense.

Clowney down with a knee injury > surgery > 6 weeks
Methinks this will not be last of his woes

We will certainly see. I'm glad Whitney Mercilus is the backup (former Illini). He's not great, but he has been solid in the past.

Ready for the Raiders.
